I was born and raised in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and a recent grad of the University of Iowa. My love for all things food doesn’t have a starting point, it has always been part of my life. I started The Bun Bar in hopes of sharing my love of baking with others. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing happy customers and bringing people together to enjoy a sweet treat!

I am a self-taught home baker and proud mother of one. My journey began as a paralegal, but everything changed when I baked and decorated my first cake in 2014 for Ella's 4th birthday. I wanted to create a memorable experience for her party, and little did I know it would ignite a deep passion within me. Soon I found myself baking for friends & family. Before I knew it, I had developed a substantial customer base. Over the years, I have come to realize that baking is a pure and simple expression of love and joy for others. Hollingworth Candies was founded by Margaret Carlson in 1982. She started making English toffee one pound at a time in her home kitchen, along with her neighbor, and selling candy at small craft shows. Our toffees are still made by hand using the highest quality creamery butter, pure chocolate and fresh nuts.

The Original Rainbow Cone has been a staple in Chicago for over 95 years!
