Gateway Market is a locally-owned specialty foods store, café, and wholesale bakery (South Union Bread Company) that also provides full-service, off-site catering. We've been catering around the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas since 2008. Being based out of a grocery store, wholesale bakery and as part of Orchestrate Hospitality, we offer a level of convenience and familiarity not readily found anywhere else in Central Iowa.

Sister Sister is a small, black, and woman owned business that provides luxury picnic and micro event coordinating services in Central Iowa. Since 1995, China Moon has bartended for dive bars, house parties, underground events, celebrity bashes, and fine dining establishments in NYC and the Midwest. She’s an old soul with a heart for gardening, reading, music, dancing, animals, and, when it’s safe again, putting her passport back in the rotation. She holds a degree in Hotel & Restaurant business management, was the Private Dining & Event Manager at The Edgewater Hotel from 2016-to 2018, and is a member of the Beta Beta Psi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. China Moon is an eager reader (and dotes on Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels.) She loves aged Brugal Rum on the rocks with lime.

Hello! My name is Allie and I’m the sole owner of The Hangry Lady. I have a 2 year A.S Degree towards dietetics and a Culinary Degree from Kirkwood Community College. After graduating I went on to be Chef de Cuisine at Caucho for 2 years, during this time I was named one of the ‘40 women to watch’ by the Iowa Restaurant Association. I then went on to be Executive Chef at Popoli for almost 1 year before closing due to Covid. This is when I decided to take a chance on myself and opened up the business I had always dreamed of. Our mission is to serve colorful, creative and delicious food, with high quality service to our customers.
