Throughout the years I’ve documented intimate elopement ceremonies and weddings with over 250 guests. As an artist I crave a real connection with my couples. I look for couples who are truly in love and are willing to put their trust in my vision. My photographs are often described as warm, natural, romantic, and timeless. My passion for photography and weddings began when I was very young. I staged Barbie weddings, making their dresses from Kleenex, then snuck Mom’s camera to take pictures of them. I moved on to dressing up my little sister in a pillowcase veil, again sneaking Mom’s camera. When she got tired of me using up all her film, she brought home several Bride magazines from the free pile at the library and I spent hours reading them, then pinning pages of beautiful wedding dresses on the ceiling of my bedroom. When “The Wedding Planner” came out in 2001, my fate was sealed

With a background deeply rooted in the restaurant and event industry, I honed my skills in hospitality. My passion to be the 'hostess with the mostess' has transferred well into the photography industry by making sure that my clients trust me with telling their story. I have a lifestyle and photojournalistic approach, with a creative flare for some editorial looks. I make sure that any outcome is organic. I capture important details and create everlasting moments through photography and videography.

I grew up in a very small town called Colesburg, Iowa. I currently live in Dubuque again, but this time I live with my own family! My husband and I have quite the full house! A know-it-all 18 year old, a laid-back but sassy 12 year old, and a 6 year old who one day thinks he's a dinosaur and the next a Ninja Turtle. Oh, and not to mention we also have five cats, a Siamese (Owen) and a black cat (Daisy), and a Tabby cat (Astro), an orange tabby (Blaze), and another black cat (Spooky).

Zoé Alexander is an award-winning Salt Lake City, Utah, based commercial photographer and video producer specializing in photographic digital stills & video images, high-end digital imaging, and video production professionally since 2000.
