Hi there, I’m Nathan! I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but I now make my bed in Tempe, Arizona, which is where I call home. I live in Arizona, but I love to take assignments that give me the opportunity to travel and see other parts of the country! I consider myself a simple person who, when I’m not taking photos, loves music, skateboarding, and collecting old broken cameras that will never see the light of day. I’ve found that over the past nine years photography has given me a voice that I use to express myself and bring happiness to others.

I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. That is how I came to the style that I shoot now, still blending the two parts of my life.

We are an experienced husband and wife photography team based in Minneapolis, MN, who have been photographing weddings since 2000. We are good at what we do, and easy going while we do it. Katrina is the organizer and people person. John is the quiet ninja that will photograph a moment before you even knew he was there. We have photographed hundreds of weddings and have traveled the world to capture some of the most important moments of our clients lives.
