At WOW Event Center we believe our guests should have the opportunity to experience the historic charm of Alton’s Riverfront District. Our venue is housed in a series of buildings dating back to the 1880’s. These buildings contain rustic elements with a chic industrial ambiance featuring exposed brick, hardwood floors, a pallet wall and visible rafters. Events that take place during the day are complemented by the beautiful view of the world-renowned Clark Bridge and the glistening Mississippi River. At night, the lights of Alton’s famed bridge create a spectacular backdrop for the evening’s activities. These design features have made us one of the most unique venues in the Midwest.

Construction on the Lake Springfield Postal Club began in the early 1940s. Post office employees donated over 50,000 hours on weekends, evenings and days off to complete the building. A team of horses and a sliding bucket were used to dig out the basement. The Postal Club officially opened in 1948. The total construction cost was approximately $15,000. In 2005, there were only two of the original Postal Club members left. In 2000 the Postal Club merged with the Springfield Firefighters Local 37. In 2001 the firefighters burned down the original Postal Club to make way for a new building. The new club was completed in 2002. The total construction cost was $3.6 million. The clubhouse is surrounded by 5 acres of woods, with boathouses, docks, beaches, parking lot, sidewalks, bandstand, and much more.

Our historic event venue in Springfield has a distinctive and beautiful architectural design which is the perfect balance of vintage character, with an intimate vibe. This unique 2 story building features exposed trusses and wood beams, a huge candelabra chandelier, carved stone fireplace, large circle headed front windows, mezzanine balcony, imported quarry tile, palm modeled plaster walls, and many other original architectural elements.

Edwards Place, built in 1833, was a social center of antebellum Springfield. In its gracious parlors Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas, Ulysses S. Grant, and other Illinois luminaries gathered at elegant parties and balls. You, too, can have your special day in the same rooms where Abraham and Mary Lincoln were guests more than 150 years ago, now meticulously restored to the grandeur of their antebellum days. Edwards Place is available to rent for showers, weddings, and receptions – the perfect choice for a distinctive event in a historically significant setting. You can even include extra services for your event, such as the use of a piano often heard by Abraham Lincoln (and possibly played at his wedding!). Our rental space has three areas of possibility - the historic house museum, the grounds in front of Edwards Place, and the M.G. Nelson Gallery, a part of our parent organization, the Springfield Art Association, and directly attached by a doorway to historic Edwards Place.

Built in the 1800's, The Larimore is a beautifully restored 6 acre historic estate located in St. Louis, MO. We specialize in hosting beautiful weddings, ranging from large and formal, to small and informal, unique, and even quirky! We offer two dedicated getting ready rooms for both members of the couple, multiple ceremony locations, and a grand banquet hall for your reception! The venue is exclusive use only - meaning the venue is yours for the entire day! We can accommodate up to 180 guests in our reception hall. The venue price includes use of tables, chairs, on-site parking, and more!

Heritage on Broadway is a charming historic venue located in the rolling hills of Missouri's countryside. Our venue boasts an intimate elegant French country setting that provides a romantic backdrop for your celebration and offers accommodations for up to 150 guests. We offer elopements, microweddings, and three comprehensive full-wedding packages. Heritage on Broadway also offers non-wedding rental packages with a four-hour minimum. This elegant setting is the perfect spot for bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and more. We welcome outside catering from licensed caterers, or we can partner you with one of our preferred caters. Heritage offers several beverage packages including alcohol and non-alcoholic packages. Our venue is nestled on 36 acres and features 2 ponds with fountains. The building was once an airplane hangar - during your event the large door can be opened for an indoor/outdoor experience. The property boasts 2 bridal suites, a man cave with a bar, pool table, & theater room as well as a home that will sleep 17 and a seasonal pool. One of the most popular amenities (and we offer so many resources to our couples) we offer is our extensive decorations collection that you can use - free of charge. And after your wedding? No cleaning up at The Hangar! Our staff is onsite the entire evening cleaning and at the end of the night they pack everything away!

Loveland Estates is located on 10 acres with a beautiful waterfront property, outdoor covered ceremony site and cocktail hour area. We are a one stop shop for fresh florals centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnières, decor and bar service. Full set-up and tear down included with use of decor services. We also offer a cocktail hour bar cart and a shuttle service for local hotel blocks or to our off site Loveland Home that sleeps up to 12 guests {located just 10 minutes away}. Our venue hosts up to 215 guests. 1 hour rehearsal, wooden cross back chairs, private bridal suite and grooms loft included in price. Tours offered throughout the week by appointment. Upon booking, we will send you a list of all of our favorite vendors, but we do not require to use them and you may choose your own caterer. We will be here for you every step of the way during planning and we also coordinate your big day so everything runs smoothly without any hitches. Well maybe only one “hitch”😉
