The Portofino Hotel & Marina

4.7

Redondo Beach, CA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $16,000

Welcome. The Portofino Inn, as it was originally named, was opened in 1962 by racecar enthusiast Mary Davis. The inn drew thousands of visitors for a three-day welcome celebration for the King Harbor opening and soon became a hangout for racers including Peter Revson, an F1 Grand Prix Winner. The Cannonball Run, a car race from New York to Los Angeles turned feature film, was first run in 1971 with The Portofino Inn as the final destination.

As mother of the bride, I had a wonderful experience with the staff, in particular Rain at the Baleen Kitchen. He was responsive and very good at communicating what was to happen. The vendors recommended by Portofino were excellent . It was a small wedding (23) with immediate family and everyone had a great time. The venue, food and staff absolutely terrific!

Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina

5.0

Redondo Beach, CA
  • Up to 450 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Our hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable and leisurely stay. In addition to picturesque views, you will enjoy a fully-equipped fitness center, heated outdoor pool and on-site dining. With ample amenities and a spacious room, it's the perfect oasis in which to end a day of exploring the wide variety of things to do in Redondo Beach and greater Los Angeles.

I loved working with Robin at the Sonesta Hotel. She was an excellent event manager who cared for all our needs and was very accommodating. I had one problem that had nothing to do with Robin or the Sonesta: Someone on the wedding coordinator's staff stole my wallet during the event. We hired Koral, the wedding coordinator, which was our responsibility. Overall, it was a beautiful venue with excellent hotel staff. I would recommend the Sonesta 100%.
