Mertens is located in downtown Grand Rapids and occupies the entirety of the original main floor of the original hotel that opened in 1914. We are one half block east of Van Andel Arena, Studio Park, and the Canopy by Hilton Hotel. Valet parking has only limited availability for a fee with prior arrangement with Mertens Validation for either of the large public parking structures (Cherry St garage) on our block is available for pre-purchase and distribution before, during, or at the conclusion of your event street parking is free on Saturdays, Sundays and after 6 PM everyday.
