I used CBD for my December 2023 wedding at The Library at 190 S LaSalle. The services were impeccable. I obtained proposals from several caterers from the venue's preferred caterers' list and went for tasting with two caterers. CBD's pricing is competitive compared with larger caterers, and menu options and tasting experience were better than smaller caterers. Lots of great hors d'oeuvres. Erin is very responsive, organized, and flexible. We were able to customize sides for entrees. On the wedding day, the captain (Aukse) was extremely professional, competent and attentive. We fully trust her and went with her recommendations for an on-the-spot change. The set-up was beautiful without any supervision. Flipping from ceremony layout to reception layout was done quickly. I believe they collaborated with the florist very well. They were also nice enough to box leftover cake and entrees for confirmed guests who could not show up. I would definitely recommend CBD.

Hoffman House Catering

5.0

  • Starts at $1,750
  • Serves Great Lakes, IL

You’ve been dreaming of this day for a long time, crafting the perfect experience in your mind. The dress. The flowers. The ring. And, of course, the food. Each celebration is an opportunity for us to help couples bring their unique vision to life.

We deliberated a ton on choosing a caterer for our wedding. We were trying to stay on budget yet choose something we knew our guests would enjoy. Julie Bieber with Hoffman House went above and beyond to help us decide and honestly her generosity sealed the deal. Nearly everything we tried at our tasting was top notch on taste and appearance. We settled on a BBQ buffet with a few extras (hot cider and candy apple table) and it was a hit with guests. Several guests came up to me to say how good the food was, especially the appetizers. The service they provided was also fabulous! Everything ran smooth and one specific server (unfortunately I did not catch her name) made sure that my husband and I were tended to and got food. She even went above and beyond catering to my dogs. Anything I asked her for she obliged. I loved that she made sure all my leftover desserts were boxed up which I don’t even think was her job but she did it because I asked specifically. The servers even took the time to bag about a dozen candy apples for us to take home. I was just super impressed and happy that I chose Hoffman House. No matter what food we would have chose I have no doubt they would have handled it perfectly. Choose Hoffman House! They’re worth the cost and you won’t be disappointed.

I am a private Sushi Chef with more than a decade of experience. I first learned the Japanese Art of Sushi in Venezuela. I continued practicing this multidisciplinary craft in 3 countries before I settled in Chicago, IL, where I live now. Sushi making is a very personal experience for me and I enjoy creating something unique with the food colors, textures, temperatures, and flavors.

His company is pleasant, and respects your home - leaving it spotless before he leaves.

The Crain Experience

5.0

  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Great Lakes, IL for additional fees

Welcome. Chef Jason started out in the kitchen at 15 years old as a dishwasher at Red Lobster washing dishes and baking. From there, he worked many cook’s lines until I earned my first chef position under Emeril Lagasse over ten years ago. He's went on to operating casino kitchens, private dining clubs. Since relocating from Atlanta, GA Jason has gained experience in kitchen consulting and new restaurant openings. After 25 years in the industry, He is now starting a new journey into the Private Chef sector. He refers to his style of cooking as Southern Creole cooking, where it’s much more than cooking…it’s about the overall experience.

The Crain Experience was so amazing and easy to work with! Anytime I had questions they were so quick to get back to me. The food was delicious, the drinks were phenomenal, and the staff/bartenders were easygoing, professional, and personable. I could not recommend them more!
