The St. James Hotel is an official historic Minnesota wedding venue in the heart of downtown Red Wing, Minnesota. Forestville Winery and Event Center encompasses 17 acres of beauty and serenity. 2025 marks our seventh season hosting events and memories to guests from all over the world. Our Event building has undergone major renovation. The climate controlled space features spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.

The Blue Moon is the only true ballroom in the Rochester area. The sound system is fantastic and used by our recommended DJs. You can save big bucks by using any outside catering service that you want. We have one exclusive vendor for the bar. We have hosted more than 500 private receptions, and would be happy to meet with you to to see if the Blue Moon Ballroom would be a good fit for your event.

We also do a group block for your guests at a discounted rate. We set up a Host and/or Cash Bar at no extra cost. The Ceremony can be held here as well for a small fee. We will need 2 hours between the Ceremony and the Reception to flip the room. Our Pre-Function Area and Patio are ideal for a Cocktail Reception during that time or guests can come back when the Reception opens. Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse caters for our events. Our Chef is very flexible and we offer options for guests with dietary restrictions.

White Pine Berry Farm started in April 2012. Since then, we’ve grown strawberries, raspberries (red, black and gold), and blueberries. Other fruits and vegetables such as currants, rhubarb, asparagus, and some fruit trees have been added. We continue to try new varieties of strawberries, blueberry and raspberries. We concentrate on being a U-pick fruit farm, but have jams and jellies and prepicked berries if we have excess fruit beyond U-Pick demand.
