Featuring a spacious and flexible event space, WAREHOUSE: 109 meets the need for an interesting venue to host your next event. Our space provides many unique vignettes; including a gallery of antique motorcycles, a vintage bar, and a 1958 Airstream turned into a lounge. WAREHOUSE 109 will assist you throughout your special event and there will be a venue manager on-site.

Edwards Place, built in 1833, was a social center of antebellum Springfield. In its gracious parlors Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas, Ulysses S. Grant, and other Illinois luminaries gathered at elegant parties and balls. You, too, can have your special day in the same rooms where Abraham and Mary Lincoln were guests more than 150 years ago, now meticulously restored to the grandeur of their antebellum days. Edwards Place is available to rent for showers, weddings, and receptions – the perfect choice for a distinctive event in a historically significant setting. You can even include extra services for your event, such as the use of a piano often heard by Abraham Lincoln (and possibly played at his wedding!). Our rental space has three areas of possibility - the historic house museum, the grounds in front of Edwards Place, and the M.G. Nelson Gallery, a part of our parent organization, the Springfield Art Association, and directly attached by a doorway to historic Edwards Place.

Hosting your wedding at the Inn at 835 leaves your guests wondering how you had the time to put so many details into your big day, when really, we take care of everything for you, from start to finish. As a full-service event center, we offer several special add-on services to enhance your event, including table side wine service, champagne, an open bar, centerpiece decorations and candles, colored linens, and silver coffee service. Everything you could want, all in one place.

Construction on the Lake Springfield Postal Club began in the early 1940s. Post office employees donated over 50,000 hours on weekends, evenings and days off to complete the building. A team of horses and a sliding bucket were used to dig out the basement. The Postal Club officially opened in 1948. The total construction cost was approximately $15,000. In 2005, there were only two of the original Postal Club members left. In 2000 the Postal Club merged with the Springfield Firefighters Local 37. In 2001 the firefighters burned down the original Postal Club to make way for a new building. The new club was completed in 2002. The total construction cost was $3.6 million. The clubhouse is surrounded by 5 acres of woods, with boathouses, docks, beaches, parking lot, sidewalks, bandstand, and much more.

The Old Homestead Event Barn offers you an outdoor wedding ceremony by our farm pond with a pergola and wooden benches. Our farmhouse is used for wedding party staging and our 135 year old barn for your reception. The barn has a dance floor, 2 bathrooms, dimmable lighting, catering area, bar services, and a digital photobooth. We have 12 chandeliers to add bling to your rustic country wedding!
