Wedding videography all started with making short films with friends in college and realizing how much I love the process of producing video content. So here's the tea... I'm a wise-cracking, extroverted Capricorn who excels at corralling your rowdy family for photos and charming Aunt Carol, the self-deemed professional iPad photographer. Ever since I was little, huddled on the couch with my five siblings rewatching The Lion King, I knew that I wanted to be a storyteller. Growing up in a creative household, I studied a wide range of arts before settling on filmmaking. I envisioned in my head that I would be the next Spielberg, but after shooting my first wedding in 2013 all my plans changed.

Hey there, I'm Kel Madden, the creative force behind Belscope Films, a wedding videography venture I kicked off in 2016. We're all about capturing those beautiful love stories that make your heart skip a beat. Originally from the Caribbean, my passion for visual storytelling took root during my days at film school. After some time spent in Los Angeles, refining my skills in video post-production, I stumbled upon wedding videography in 2014. Fast forward to 2016, and I made the move to Tacoma, Washington, founding Belscope Films.

Without going into too much detail about how we got started filming weddings, we’d like to share why we continue to capture weddings. The short answer: They’re fun! Our wedding business started out with me shooting a wedding video for a very dear friend of mine in 2017. I posted the video to a Facebook business page and BOOM! It received 200,000 views and we started receiving hundreds of inquiries from couples around the PNW. Every year I would book 30-40 weddings doing photo and video for couples. When COVID struck, we had a year crashing into the next year. We had to adapt. So I grew our company to 8 teams of pro photographers/videographers to cover weddings around the US. There is nothing better than capturing love on the biggest day ever. Every day we are thankful to be able to do this.
