“We hired Petit Eclair for our wedding and are so glad that we did!! My husband and I are both not very comfortable in front of the camera so we were nervous for our wedding. However, we found Daria and had the chance to meet with her over coffee to talk about our day, our history, our goals, and what we wanted out of a photographer. Fast forward to our wedding day. She arrived early to our venue, was cognizant of me and my girls getting ready and was able to capture all the small details without me remembering she did (she’s that amazing!!). Daria was able to photograph myself and my girls while her husband photographed my husband and his groomsmen. This was so helpful so that she didn’t miss any small moment to capture. During the ceremony at our church they both captured everything, including the small glances we gave each other, family and friend reactions, and they were very respectful of being in a church. The rest of the day went so smoothly as they came with us to several locations to shoot with our wedding party. What I really loved was that she brought a list of the poses I wanted to have done (that I told her months prior over coffee), so she could help make sure we got those done. I forgot i had requested them and I think it was so thoughtful to have remembered :) They were both SO easy going, kind, but also kept us on track if we needed to move along to keep on schedule for the day. “Marissa was amazing from our first FaceTime consultation before our engagement shoot. After seeing her beautiful work first hand, we knew we would have to have her for our wedding day. They excel at both pieces of the wedding photographer's role: the experience of having them photograph the event, and the photos they deliver at the end. On your wedding day: They of course will follow your requested shoot list, portraits of family, and whatever else you want to prioritize for your wedding day. *But the real magic they deliver is that everyone forgets they are there.* Your family doesn't feel like they're being stalked by paparazzi or in a never ending staged photo shoot. I don't know how they do it, they didn't meet anyone in my family before our wedding, but every photo they delivered was an authentic reflection of that person and the moment. Nothing felt strained, staged, or uncomfortable for the subjects. Several of my family members, including my husband, don't love being photographed, and they were both so sensitive to that without losing anything important. They melt into the background and capture the smallest, lovely moments you didn't even know were happening. When they deliver the photos: The story of our wedding was told brilliantly in the first set of preview photos, which they delivered very quickly after the wedding, and even more so when we saw the full set of photos and the album. They are very responsive and delivered the shots exactly on the promised timeline and of course answered every single question we could have had along the way. About the pictures: Shukhrat is versatile and very skilled. When we took our engagement photos he provided us with various styles of photos and editing, and then used our feedback to guide the photos he took at our wedding. He is also flexible. We got married in a city park and there were wayyyy more people in the park than we were expecting at 6:00pm at night. Without missing any of the candid details or true-to-life colors that we wanted, Shukhrat was able to frame the photos and/or alter the lighting so that the park goers were barely visible in the background. Both Shukhrat and Rachel are also very skilled at giving direction when needed, but letting you do your own thing the rest of the time. Neither my husband nor I have a lot of experience in front of a camera—they gave us enough direction to feel confident, without making us feel stifled or overly posed. We wanted photos that felt organic and genuine, and they were really able to capture that. Working with Shukhrat and Rachel: The two of them were a dream to work with. Incredibly professional--very communicative, punctual, quick turnaround time on photos. And they are also just lovely people.
