She listened to our concerns about getting some of our guests to dance and gave us a lot of great advice going into the wedding day, like adding dance floor props to get everyone engaged and adjusting our anniversary dance so everyone ends up on the dance floor. She worked with us and curated a great wedding playlist. Our guests complimented us on what a great DJ she was. Everyone loved seeing her behind the booth, dancing along with the guests. At one point, one of our guests dropped a glass and she played “Heart of Glass” right after, which was perfectly timed (lol). She really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy up while still playing some of our silly requests. She curated a great mashup for the mother/son dance. My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. She even took videos during the ceremony and reception and shared them with me afterwards which is something I did not expect but was so grateful to have. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

From our initial phone call, after interviewing a few different DJs from different companies, we knew Chuck would be the right fit. Throughout the planning process he was very accommodating, and the mydeejay planning portal was incredibly thorough and easy to navigate. Chuck arrived early to set up for both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. His equipment was top of the line - everyone said our ceremony music (which was played outside during an incredibly windy day) sounded like live string music. His indoor set up was incredibly sleek looking. After just a few minutes of viewing the photos and videos of gigs he had posted on his Facebook page we knew he was our guy. He reaffirmed this decision during our intro call when the first thing he said to us was, "Just know on your wedding day, I've got you." We instantly knew we were in great hands. Korey exceeded all expectations, from his in-depth phone calls leading up to the wedding to his oozing charisma and passion during the reception. “Hiring Mike as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made!! From our first meeting, Mike was professional and friendly, providing us with a lot of information and answering all of our questions. After we booked with him, he set up an easy-to-use app for us to select our songs, write notes about the reception, and communicate any special instructions. It helped us keep track of what to prepare and how to plan the timeline of our day since we didn't have a wedding planner. Mike also came to an in person meeting with our venue so he could be prepared for the wedding day, and he was completely set up and ready when we arrived for cocktail hour and dinner. “Entertainment is arguably one of the most important and memorable aspects of a wedding, as it can truly make or break your day. Fortunately for me, I’ve worked in the service industry for over a decade and have seen my fair share of DJs and bands. This is how I met Paul. I always loved when he played at the bar I worked at because his sets were never the same—he read the room, kept the energy high, and was always amazing at it. I’ve also attended weddings where he DJ’d and MC’d, and those were the ones where I had the most fun. So, I was over the moon when I reached out and found out he was available for my wedding. I booked him immediately. Paul has been in the entertainment business for quite some time and offers more than just music. With options like customizable monogram/logo projections, a standalone or 360 photobooth (with an attendant and props), and uplighting, he helped us tailor our wedding experience to perfection. What I loved most about the photobooth was that we were able to pick our own template and backdrop and use our own logo/monogram for it. Guests received printed copies on the spot and digital copies sent to their phones. We also received a file of all the photos and GIFs taken, which was so fun to look back on. Paul has different equipment based on your space and vibe. The sleek white setup he brought to our small venue blended seamlessly with our aesthetic, while his ability to adapt his equipment ensured optimal sound quality throughout the day. From providing a lapel mic for our officiant to coordinating with our live acoustic cocktail hour, Paul went above and beyond to enhance every aspect of our day. Paul's responsiveness and flexibility, whether over email, text, or Zoom meetings, made the planning process seamless and stress-free. During the planning period, we met with him to discuss all the details like pre-ceremony music, procession, recession, introductions, first dance, last dance, parent dances, must-play songs, do-not-play songs, and whether or not we wanted requests (we opted for them, but only if they fit the vibe). He even let us cue up songs, coordinating with our wedding planner (for instance, signaling me when it was time for me to walk down the aisle). All of this was put in a shared Google spreadsheet and discussed during our meetings. He also had a remarkable ability to know exactly when to cut a song and have it fade out perfectly. As both DJ and MC, he effortlessly set the tone for the evening, keeping the dance floor packed and the atmosphere electric. He even looked like he was having a good time, cheering and dancing along with us. A few of our guests asked for his contact info and whether he did events other than weddings (which he does). He knew exactly what the crowd wanted and ensured everyone had a great time. And as an unexpected gift, his recording of our intro and first dance provided cherished memories we'll treasure forever, especially since we didn’t have a videographer. Thanks to Paul, our wedding was so much fun, filled with laughter, love, and plenty of dancing. We couldn't have asked for a better soundtrack to our special day.”
