Hello! My name is Porsha and I’m the owner of Cake Me Away. I’m a self-taught baker and have been baking since I was in high school. I officially transitioned from a hobby baker to an official business in 2019. Since then I’ve gained many repeat clients through word of mouth about my moist and delicious made from scratch cakes. I’ve created delicious cakes for birthdays, weddings, and other special events.

Colin and Leanne Brooks are a vibrant duo who are all about the sweetest things in life, like love and marriage. After pursuing a degree in fine art with a concentration in graphic design and working in the industry I took an opportunity to open a restaurant and market with my mom. As fate would have it, that business lead me to grow my baking skills and I later combined that with my desire to create fine art and started Gingerspice Bakery. Just as weddings are a team collaborative effort so is my process with you. I want to know what you love — what inspires you — to create something memorable and one of a kind for your dream wedding.

I have been baking and decorating cakes 10 years. I took one class for the basics and the rest is self taught. We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.
