My name is Brittnae with Lush Events and I am a wedding planner. I have utilized Cambium Barn multiple times and each time it was the perfect location. My most recent couple were having trouble finding a location for their wedding when the bride's father ended up in a coma before the wedding which was to be at his home. He recovered in time for the wedding but caused alot of uncertainty in the mean time. Choosing Cambium Barn saved their day and allowed me to relieve my couple from more stress. I was happy as well that the location offers an Air BNB as the mother of the groom and the older grandparents were able to stay at the air BNB and did not have to be rushed to get there allowing both sides to feel comfortable and just enjoy the day. I love working with Britney and would again in a heart beat.

Erin and Matt at Zedland Farm's Overlook Venue were wonderful to work with for our wedding! Erin was very responsive in email and text when we had questions during planning. The venue itself is clean, spacious, and has gorgeous views that made for beautiful photos. On our big day, Erin and Matt were on-site and attentive to any needs that came up. All our guests raved about the beauty of the venue and how caring the owners were. I can't praise Zedland Farm's enough for contributing to our special day - the communication, service and beautiful venue came together for an amazing wedding experience.

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible

We loved having our wedding at The Grain Loft. The property is beautiful and it is kept in pristine condition. The ease of having the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance all at one place made the wedding far less stressful. There was plenty of space for the kids to play outside, have yard games set up, walk around and enjoy the landscape, or hang out on the patio and chat. Guests were in awe of the beauty of the property. We also loved spending the weekend in Algoma. So many hidden gems. Thursday we had our rehearsal dinner at Three Eleven Bar & Bistro, which was excellent. Friday we had a "welcome event," for guests staying the weekend, at Son's of Skaliwags where we hosted a traditional southern shrimp boil. We had so many compliments on the food! The wedding was Saturday and on Sunday we met friends and family Smashed on the Rocks for one of their massive bloody marys! It was a perfect weekend and we can't wait to spend more time in Algoma (the gateway to Door County & a best kept secret)! Couple of things I was not a huge fan off... The venues' wedding coordinator was difficult to work with at times. Her communication style was abrasive when challenged or asked for further clarifying details. For example, my wedding planner asked for a bottle of water (prior to when the open bar started) during the preparations, and she was told she would have to purchase it. Mind you, we paid for an open bar for the duration of the entire event, costing us over 6,000.00... and they couldn't give the wedding coordinator a bottle of water. Come on now, that's just tacky and poor customer service. Another thing worth mentioning.... There is no bathroom off of the bridal suite upstairs. Therefore if the bride needs to use the bathroom before the wedding, you have to walk into the main area where guests are gathered. Not ideal, but certainly not a deal breaker. Incidentals. I was required to give my credit card for "incidentals" that would automatically be charged to my card at the end of the night. I don't think this is appropriate. If there are incidentals, I should be allowed to review a bill of such items and then make the payment following any necessary discussion. Thankfully we were not billed for any incidentals, but if a guest had broke something, I was told I would have been automatically charged.

Lisa was so great to work with at Memories. She responded quickly and clearly to all my questions. The getting ready room was great with the lighting and made a good space for the children in the wedding to sleep during the reception. They also were accommodating to schedule changes and needs for a nursing mom who was in the wedding. We got so many compliment on the food and decorations!

When we were touring wedding venues, it was game over for every other venue once we saw the Gardens! Right away, it's obvious that this is an amazing and dreamy property. Guests told us all night that our wedding had the most beautiful, unique venue. Of course the venue is beautiful, but the team we worked with was just as great. Every employee we interacted with made us feel supported in the wedding planning process and just showered with love and joy on our big day. Throughout the planning process, the team answered all sorts of questions I had beyond the standard questions and they were always so sweet, thoughtful, and helpful. I so deeply appreciated that the staff always listened to our ideas and made us feel welcome. The people were kind, the food was delicious, the drinks were awesome, the scenery was awesome- we couldn't have asked for more. Another thing we loved about this venue is that everything is on site and easy to manage- no need to rent an extra space for getting ready suites, no need to worry about a "plan b" in case of weather because the historical chapel is as GORGEOUS as the outdoor spaces. Truly, I don't think there'd be a way to have a less than stunning event here, the whole space is just phenomenal and we will stay obsessed for life.
