“After booking my venue, Montes Productions was the first vendor I booked. I did a lot of research and phone conferences with other DJs in NJ, all well known, for about weeks before deciding on Montes Productions. I was looking for someone who could go along with a “club” feel, but also incorporate a wide-range of music for my family. All the DJs I spoke to were pretty much the same, however, when I spoke to Juan…we just clicked. Montes Productions was recommended to me on the New Jersey Bridal Group on Facebook. Juan was probably the only vendor who I spoke with for 30 minutes about life and not just my wedding. He was super personable and was willing to work with my budget. I felt like I was speaking to a friend and not someone trying to sell. I booked with Montes Productions two years out, and Juan kept in contact with me for that entire time. He also worked with my husband and I a week before to go over all the small details for our wedding. Juan was very organized and knew his stuff for sure. I had a lot of little components to my wedding, and Juan helped me organize them! Which helped take a load off of my shoulders in the planning process. In addition, I’m very into Kpop and Juan took all my recommendations. I also booked a photobooth under Montes Productions and it was great. We chose the inflatable photo booth which was a big hit. Also, the guys who came with Juan were all wonderful. Montes Productions was fun, professional, and exceptional. The set-up on the wedding day was amazing, Juan even personalized signage to display on the screens that was definitely my aesthetic.. He also MC-ed the entire night and was a big hit with my friends and family. Juan is extremely well-spoken and has the best personality. I don’t know when I’ll ever have a big event like this again, but if I did, I would definitely hire Montes Productions again for a party!”

They played all the music we asked for and were great to work with from the start. We booked them for our ceremony, our cocktail hour, and had 11 people with horns and a DJ. They were fantastic to work with and we loved working with them. Jim is super responsive which makes a difference. He made sure the band knew all the music we wanted to play and they even interacted with guests (which I loved).They are also VERY reasonably priced and should probably charge more! They were great. I think the biggest compliment is that people from all ages kept saying they loved them which was perfect to me. They opened with Runaround Sue which is one of the best wedding songs in the world. Our friends described them as fantastic to work with, very communicative, and organized. From our initial phone call with Jenny and Ray, we knew we had found our perfect fit for our wedding music professionals. We booked them and then got a preview of them in action at our friends’ wedding – where we had a blast dancing all night long – solidifying that we had made the right decision. Jenny with her contagious, positive energy and Ray with his strong attention to detail make an incredible team in the planning process. ESQ was truly a beacon of light during what is often a stressful planning process. Jenny and Ray got to know us and our relationship with each other, walked us through the flow of the event, brainstormed song choices with us, and were incredibly gracious with incorporating some last minute requests. We honestly weren’t convinced that we could find a group that could do all three, but ESQ delivered on these three big things and more! ESQ stood out to us with their unique and talented string quartet, their fun and easygoing personalities, their professionalism and frequent communication, and how much they genuinely care about the couples they work with. Their repertoire is vast – we were overwhelmed (in a good way) with the vast range of songs they are prepared to play live. As for the actual wedding day, we may be biased but the music at our wedding was incredible. One of the things that drew us to ESQ in the first place was their dynamic ability to transition the music throughout the night – setting a romantic, timeless scene for our wedding ceremony with their live strings, transitioning to upbeat covers of modern songs for our cocktail hour, and really turning up the party with Jenny as the DJ and the accompanying electric strings. Our guests learned the choreography to Chappell Roan’s “Hot To Go,” belted out Teenage Dirtbag, and were delightfully surprised by Simple Plan’s rendition of “What’s New Scooby Doo” (Trust me it’s a banger). You could not pry our feet from the dance floor – we (bride groom) with all of our guests danced the night away. As one of our friends remarked to us after the event “it was banger after banger and it was impossible to find a bad song to sneak away for a bathroom break.” ESQ was one of the most memorable parts of the day and our guests have continued to share how beautiful the ceremony arrangements were, how fun and unique ESQ was particularly during cocktail hour and the reception, and how sore they were the next day after all the dancing!”
