“There were so many great things about working with Vital that I hardly know where to start. We booked him through Zola after going through an overwhelming number of photographers’ portfolios— many beautiful pictures, but none of them felt like “us”. My husband and I are both camera shy and felt very strongly that we didn’t want to spend the whole day posing; Vital completely understood and delivered. From the first communications, he made us feel heard, understood, and supported. We met him for a small engagement shoot in our neighborhood to get acquainted before the big day, and he even brought a Polaroid camera after hearing our first photo together was a Polaroid— just an extremely thoughtful and personal touch that really encapsulates the way Vital works. Leading up to the wedding he was incredibly easy to get in touch with, even sending us questionnaires to understand exactly what we hoped to get out of our day (and what we like about each other as partners). I left feeling like he really wanted to understand US and deliver the photos WE wanted— versus some stock lineup of pictures you’d expect at a wedding. On the day of the wedding he showed up early, was totally prepared, and got to work without instruction. My husband and I were able to relax, soak in the memories, and completely forget a photographer was even there. And the results! He delivered our previews within days, had the full gallery ready in weeks, and the photos were gorgeous. He captured so many little moments that I would’ve otherwise missed. He got so many wonderful candid shots of us, our families, and our friends. Each picture is packed with feeling and energy. “Not only are they both lovers of Taylor Swift (so am I so we had lots to chat about!) Bethany and Raquel are phenomenal photographers/people in general and you shouldn’t hesitate to book them. I’ve recommended them to basically everyone I know getting married or has even the most distant of plans to get married. They go above and beyond the basic responsibilities of photographers and genuinely love documenting love. I hope to book them for literally anything in the future. They were the very first vendor we booked in our entire wedding planning process and set the bar waaaay too high for everyone else. They were one of the few vendors we reached out to that did an initial Zoom consultation. I think based on rom-coms I had this crazy idea in my head that wedding planning was done through in-person appointments, but I quickly learned most is done through emails and phone calls making it all feel a little impersonal. Our first meeting with Bethany and Raquel was amazing and it felt like they were actually invested in learning about us as a couple (they definitely were!) and the type of photography experience/style we were looking for. Their kind and thoughtful personalities led us to book them for our engagement shoot and wedding straight away. They definitely can meet you at whatever level of crazy you’re currently running at. For example, for our engagement shoot I had made a whole powerpoint of the types of shots I wanted as well as potential outfits. I did a complete 180 by the wedding and I told them I trusted their artistic vision completely and had no shot list other than the groupings for formal portraits. The photographs came in while we were on our honeymoon and we were blown away by the gallery. Everything was beautifully photographed, edited, and curated. On the wedding day my husband and I were excited for our first look partially because we got to see each other, but also because it was a hang sesh with both of them (lol!). They are wonderful people who put you at ease whenever you chat with them and become your genuine lifelong friends along the way. Many guests complimented their work style in which they weren't intrusive during the ceremony, but were constantly snapping both candid and posed photos. We didn’t want our wedding to feel merely like a spectacle –we wanted it to be a gathering of all our loved ones, so Bethany and Raquel's candid style was a perfect match for us.”

We were nervous to be in front of the camera and worried we would look awkward. Siobhan made us feel so comfortable, and our pictures were AWESOME! Siobhan quickly took out her phone to look at the radar and insisted we go out on the golf course. Our pictures are beautiful— full of Sun and Smiles. No other photographer would have fought for us to get those pictures!!! She kept our bridal party in line and made sure we followed the exact timeline we had planned together. I did not have to worry about anything with her by my side. Siobhan sent us our edited “sneak peaks”… THE NEXT DAY!!! Our whole gallery was ready within one month of our wedding day. “Shukhrat and his wife Rachel just shot our June 8th wedding and we couldn't be happier. They were amazing to work with and the photos are phenomenal! About the pictures: Shukhrat is versatile and very skilled. When we took our engagement photos he provided us with various styles of photos and editing, and then used our feedback to guide the photos he took at our wedding. He is also flexible. We got married in a city park and there were wayyyy more people in the park than we were expecting at 6:00pm at night. Without missing any of the candid details or true-to-life colors that we wanted, Shukhrat was able to frame the photos and/or alter the lighting so that the park goers were barely visible in the background. Both Shukhrat and Rachel are also very skilled at giving direction when needed, but letting you do your own thing the rest of the time. Neither my husband nor I have a lot of experience in front of a camera—they gave us enough direction to feel confident, without making us feel stifled or overly posed. We wanted photos that felt organic and genuine, and they were really able to capture that. Working with Shukhrat and Rachel: The two of them were a dream to work with. Incredibly professional--very communicative, punctual, quick turnaround time on photos. And they are also just lovely people. Jess is super responsive in helping book everything and Kevin was so incredible to work with on site! We had to reschedule our engagement shoot 3 times because of rain. Kevin had driven all the way to the location the first time and thankfully knew a rainy day was not what we were looking for and rescheduled, clearly putting our best interests first. Not only did our engagement pictures come out so beautifully, but the wedding photos he took made our jaws drop. Kevin made sure he captured every photo I was looking for from family portraits, to my inspiration couple pictures, and the big family photos. Kevin also surprised me with Polaroids at the end of the night of some of the best moments and a digital version of them the next day that I immediately had to post on Instagram because they were so good. I received a sneak preview of my wedding photos less than a week after the wedding day! I was surprised and thrilled with the quick turnaround of over 50 photos to look at while we were on our honeymoon. They captured the details, the smiles, and all the special moments of our big day.
