I am a private Sushi Chef with more than a decade of experience. I first learned the Japanese Art of Sushi in Venezuela. I continued practicing this multidisciplinary craft in 3 countries before I settled in Chicago, IL, where I live now. Sushi making is a very personal experience for me and I enjoy creating something unique with the food colors, textures, temperatures, and flavors.

Our passion for flavor and culture has led us to craft a menu that showcases the very best of African food delicacies. Owners James & Lisa are a husband and wife duo with a passion for entertaining! After leaving her corporate job and wanting to stay in the events industry, Lisa saw the need for a mobile bar in the Chicagoland area and Lucky Hitch Mobile Events came to life. Jamie, a skilled tradesman, was the brains behind the project and their first trailer, Lucky was born. Lisa has over 20 years in the corporate and social event industry and knows what it takes to pull off a successful wedding and event. Always staying on top of the trends, Lisa is always working hard to make sure each and every event goes off without a hitch.

Mila Furman is an accomplished private and personal chef, instructor, and food blogger serving families in Chicago, the surrounding suburbs, and lower Wisconsin. Clients who have worked with Mila and the Girl and the Kitchen team have come to rely on them to provide delicious, wholesome food that impresses everyone—and leaves no one hungry. Mila and her chefs work to create a custom menu and experience for each catering event.

My husband and I started 9 years ago after we got married! We love to cook and enjoy feeding people even more. My husband is a classically trained chef who worked in some of the best restaurants around the world, but now we’re based in Chicago making some of the best unpretentious food around.

Welcome. Chef Jason started out in the kitchen at 15 years old as a dishwasher at Red Lobster washing dishes and baking. From there, he worked many cook’s lines until I earned my first chef position under Emeril Lagasse over ten years ago. He's went on to operating casino kitchens, private dining clubs. Since relocating from Atlanta, GA Jason has gained experience in kitchen consulting and new restaurant openings. After 25 years in the industry, He is now starting a new journey into the Private Chef sector. He refers to his style of cooking as Southern Creole cooking, where it’s much more than cooking…it’s about the overall experience.
