Today, AKW has an all-female team of 3 full-time photographers, a filmmaker, a director of brand and client experience, and a wedding planner. Over the years, AKW has photographed more than 600 beautiful couples from Greece to the Rocky Mountains. Our talented team will not only document your wedding day, we will help you curate a day that is uniquely you. AKW also has a sister business, Wave Photo, that employs two part-time photographers and specializes in headshots, family photos and branding shoots.

With a photographic career spanning over 11 years, Phil at 1LPhoto has worn many hats, but "wedding photographer" is his favorite. Phil serves the DMV area but travels nationwide for photoshoots. He doesn't remember the first time he picked up a camera, but he swears he has never put it down. "It's not work until you'd rather be somewhere else," a mentor once said, & there's certainly no place better than anywhere with a camera in hand. Phil is a photojournalist at heart & is always chasing the good light. Photography is his passion, his calling in life, and he is truly thankful to be able to make a living from something he loves so dearly.

I am the one always hiding behind my camera, one of my favorite places to be! If I am not taking pictures then I am always with my babies. I am a Momma of a handsome 8yr old, gorgeous 2yr old, and WILD german sheppard/husky. I am also a wife to my greatest supporter. You might catch him at a shoot or two.

This business is run by me and my wife. We are an LBGTQ owned and operated business but enjoy working will all couples. We offer wedding planning/coordinating services along with officiant services. Our name means Peace and Transparency. We want every couple to have a stress free wedding. Also, we are transparent about everything.
