Formerly a 1920’s speakeasy bar, The Skyline Club is a private rooftop venue at the historic Old Republic Building on Michigan Avenue. Originally, a pub in the Sussex region of southern England, the Skyline Club was dismantled, shipped to Chicago, and reassembled on what was then the Bell Building. Guests can now experience the elegant charm of this historic penthouse, along with the gorgeous view of Michigan Ave from our breathtaking outside terrace. Previous residents added details reflecting the styles of grand movie theaters and the glamorous neoclassical revival flair of the 1920’s and 1930’s, giving the house a relaxed but unified mix of architectural styles. Located in Vernon Hills, Illinois, Loyola Lake County is home to the Cuneo family collection of fine art and furnishings, set in a beautiful 100-acre estate. Since receiving the estate, Loyola has completed a number of renovations and added a meeting and event pavilion for courses, lectures and special events. Loyola will continue its investment in the mansion.

For more than a century, the Winnetka Community House has been playing host to some of the most beautiful events and weddings on the North Shore. Within the lovely grounds of the Community House, the Historic Garden provides a timeless setting for a magical wedding ceremony or an alfresco dinner. The blue stone and brick patio is framed by architectural brick columns, a Tudor style barn building, a charming pergola, and an iconic gothic wooden frame breezeway. Our indoor Garden Room features plenty of natural light, beautiful woodwork, ambient lighting, and offers a wide view of our beautifully landscaped garden through a wall of French doors.

The Highland Park Community House is an elegant wedding venue located in the heart of Highland Park's vibrant and well-known downtown district. This warm and inviting venue is a beautifully renovated historic landmark that evokes the glamour of the past with its art deco fixtures, vaulted ceilings and gorgeous hardwood floors. With stunning indoor and outdoor space, this venue can be converted into many configurations to graciously accommodate smaller events and weddings. One of the unique aspects of our special venue is you can bring in any vendor, caterer, food, beverage, decor of your choosing making it affordable on all budgets to create the wedding of your dreams.

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

The Majestic theatre is one of the largest Vaudeville theatre’s in Chicago-land and oldest in the United States, will re-open in late 2010 as a multi-purpose venue. The theatre featuring a/an full stage, 20-foot screen, art deco grand style second & third floor balconies, and rear walking museum will seat 500. The theatre being equipped with hi-end technology capabilities will not only host Wedding ceremonies, receptions, concerts, fashion shows, business seminars, pageants and proms but just about any venue the mind could develop. Full catering and bar are also available.
