Our hotel has been tastefully decorated to pay homage to Alice G. Hoffman, who was a local resident as well as a world traveler. Alice Hoffman was Eleanore Roosevelt's aunt. Since Alice Hoffman didn’t have any children of her own, she transferred her 2,000-acre waterfront ownership along Atlantic beach to her Roosevelt family, who in turn formed the early development of Pine Knoll Shores.
