My sister was expecting her third baby, she was in her third trimester and I decided to plan a baby shower because what the heck, every new baby deserves to be celebrated.

As a self-taught baker with a passion for perfecting recipes, I've curated a collection of buttercream cakes, & dessert bar treats that I love to eat and I’m proud to share with you - all baked fresh to order. With over 20 years of baking experience under my apron, I decided to turn my passion into a full-time gig in 2022 - and I'm so glad I did! We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.

I graduated from Virginia State University with my BS in Psychology and got my master's in Curriculum & Instruction from Grand Canyon University. I work full-time as a reading interventionist for grades K-5 in Richmond Public Schools. I have been in education for 14 years! I have four sons, Kai, Chase, Carter, and Ameer. I started baking at six when my mother got me an EZ bake oven.
