From the very first time we stepped foot inside Hermann Hill, we knew it was going to be special. Becki gave us a tour and all we could think about was how beautiful it was. When we walked outside and the groom saw the river bluff, it was a done deal and he said we had to get married there. Roxanne became our wedding coordinator and to say she was truly amazing is an understatement. She kept us in the loop, kept our heads above water when it felt like there was so much to do, and continued to keep us excited throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding, Roxanne was so upbeat and fun and did amazing with the set up. She truly was a treasure. We will never be able to thank the amazing work everyone did, from Roxanne, to the amazing chef, and to all the staff that we didn’t get to meet. All of you made our wedding day PERFECT. From the bride and groom, we thank everyone at Hermann Hill from the bottom of our hearts.

We reserved The Kensington Hotel for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception this past November. The ballroom with it's own lobby area was perfect for our guests. We especially loved the beautiful woodwork and decor in the hallway leading to the ballroom and in the attached lobby. Even better than the decor, were the people who made it such a special day. Leah, the catering/sales manager was exceptional at bringing everything together. She went above and beyond to make the day exactly what the bride had envisioned. She was kind and enthusiastic about our ideas, and added some great suggestions of her own. Likewise, the rest of the staff could not have been nicer. From the staff at the front desk, the staff who helped set up, to the chef and servers, everyone treated us well. The food (we chose buffet option with carving station) and hors d'oeuvres were wonderful. We also chose a late night pizza option for 10:30 pm which all of the guests appreciated. We can highly recommend The Kensington for your wedding and /or reception.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! From start to finish, Oakwood made our wedding dreams come true. The event coordinators are amazing at what they do. They are prompt, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. We got married on the lakeside & had our reception by the Gazebo. The venue is breathtaking. The service is spectacular. My guests said it was the best wedding food they have every had. The bartenders made amazing drinks and people rarely had to wait. The process and communication with the hotel was very easy. The sales and catering manager, Rachel Greenfader, was the absolute best. I don't have the words to describe how incredible she was throughout this entire process. She is so trustworthy and helpful that you feel and do leave with a lifelong friend. My husband and I could not be more grateful to her for her with how much she goes above and beyond to make sure you have the experience of a lifetime. Daniela Almeida was in charge of our room accommodations and she was amazing. So helpful and patient with us through all of our questions and emails. Last, but not least the valet team is fantastic. They were so kind and always lending a helping hand to us bringing in our wedding DIYs. Daniel in particular was such a friendly and helpful valet attendant. Overall, we highly recommend booking the Riverside Hotel for any event. We would choose here a million times over!

We'll never stay at another hotel again while in Chicago --- and all of our guests said the same!

The team at Renaissance Sea World is one of the best group of professionals! They are courteous, timely, and really care about how your event goes. The event space is beautiful for hosting and there is a huge outdoor lawn for ceremonies which is hard to find in Orlando. The comfort of your guests staying on property while having access to Sea World across the street is truly unique!

February 12, 2022 was the wedding of my youngest daughter at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The venue was beautiful when we were choosing a venue, but the night of the wedding it surpassed all our expectations. As it is important to have a great venue, it is just as important to have a team of people to make the whole experience great. We were so fortunate to work with Laura Segal and Kelsie Taylor and their entire Dr. Phillips team. We cannot praise them enough for helping make my daughter's wedding a very magical and beautiful life event that will always be remembered. Everything was just done with class and they accommodated all our wishes. Our guests were blown away with the venue, from entering the building to the sensational rooftop to the magical Devos room. You must have the large windows open as it is just amazing, like nothing we have seen and we were blown away. On the night of the wedding, Laura oversaw everything to ensure all went as planned and it did with flying colors. I also want to note that the server staff were amazing and my guests made many comments praising them for their professionalism and for being so personable. I also want to note that I was a very detailed and involved parent with the planning and wanted the best possible wedding for our children. Laura and Kelsie were patient and very accommodating to our requests and only wanted us to have a great wedding. My wife and I, and the groom's parents were just so happy with how the wedding went and are thankful to all for making it a day to remember, especially for my daughter and her husband.. Again, Many Thanks to all at the Dr. Phillips Center. To all reading this review and recommendation, Do not hesitate to have your special event, wedding or other, at this venue!!

We hosted a Hindu wedding ceremony and reception at the Magnolia. I wish it were possible to give more than 5 stars because our experience was incredible. Emily, the event manager, was kind, communicative, extremely accommodating (as Indian weddings can be a lot), and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her and team for our wedding. The presidential suite was stellar for getting ready photos, and the ballroom and rooftop provided perfect backdrops for photos. The staff worked with our vendors seamlessly. Couldn't recommend more!

When looking for a venue the Manor was the second venue we’d seen out of five and after taking a tour with Anthony we crossed the rest off our list. When we visited I immediately felt it was elegant and classy but also warm and cozy. Their all inclusive package was a godsend, it removed the stress of having to interview and coordinate different vendors. They handled it all while keeping us comfortable with our budget. The design process was so much fun! Natallia really invested in getting to know us personally which would inspire her recommendations. I wasn’t a bride that had dreamt of every single detail down to the color of the napkins but I knew the style and ambiance I wanted and gave Natallia and her team artistic license to come up with designs that matched my inspiration board. The outcome was breathtaking. Several guests mentioned it was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever attended. A unique twist Natallia and her team came up with was a way to acknowledge that our wedding date also happened to be Cinco de Mayo. They set up a beautiful taco and tequila welcome bar before the ceremony that our guests devoured. The food from the welcome taco bar to cocktail hour to dinner and then the dessert bar was 5 star restaurant quality. The tasting event was my husband’s favorite part of the entire process but also the most difficult because it was too hard to choose with some many delicious options. We ended up upgrading our dinner menu and adding additional hors d’oeuvres. The artistic presentation combined with the decadent flavors had our guests complimenting for weeks. Choosing The Manor at Airmont was the best and easiest decision of the entire wedding process. Their staff were incredibly detailed, attentive, and genuine. The Manor is a truly special place, that makes all its guests feel welcome. This is a dream venue for any couple looking for a stunning location, with an exceptional design team, matched with delectable dishes and cocktails. I tell everyone I meet getting married that they need to book their wedding at The Manor!

I can’t say enough about this venue! We had a New Year’s Eve wedding 12-31-23 with 230 guests and it was exceptional. We used both the modern 11th floor Skyline Room for the ceremony and the gorgeous traditional ballroom on the main floor for the reception. We had a block of rooms for our guests and they raved about the accommodations and the service. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The bridal suite was huge and easily accommodated 8 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and 4 aestheticians. The food was amazing; prime rib, crab cakes and chicken francaise were our choices. It was delicious and served hot. They have a variety of entrees to choose from. The staff was attentive to our needs as well as professional and friendly. We love working with couples at Nationwide Hotel for several reasons. First, it is logistically so much easier for couples to have everything taking place in one location. They can stay overnight the night before, get ready there, ceremony, photos, reception, and then afterward all of their guests can stay right there. This means there is no need to coordinate guest transportation, off-site hotels, bridal party transportation for photos, or have an elongated break for photography after the ceremony since it is much faster to do on site. Second, there are plenty of outdoor spaces for couples or bridal party photos if it rains! This is a huge advantage that not all venues have and rain is a real concern for an Ohio wedding. Third, there is a variety of spots on the property for doing group or couples photos. You can have the look of brick, green lawn, the beautiful pergola with all the greenery, the iconic covered walkway, some flowers, a tree-lined area where the leaves change colors SO perfectly in the Fall, and of course the fountain! By the way, the pond is amazing for sunset photos! We have been at Nationwide many times as photographers and always had a great experience. The food was always hot and served on schedule, and their staff is so friendly and genuinely wants to create the best experience for their guests. You cannot go wrong with any of their event spaces!

Where to even begin to give my praises about Hotel Monaco and their event staff - not only was our night absolutely perfect but the entire process leading up to the day was seamless and stress free! You are provided a coordinator (ours was Lindsey!), who provided support (planning, advice, organization, instant communication, etc.) that went above and beyond my expectations. There is nothing quite as valuable as knowing before hand that your big day is taken care of and you can enjoy your day without a worry. Additionally, every guest raved about the food and drinks. The venue being at a hotel is obviously beyond convenient, did not need to set up/pay for extra transportation and we were treated like royalty all weekend long at the hotel! Stunning photos all around the hotel, rooftop, and downtown are just an added bonus. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience!

I had my wedding reception in the Zane ball room, it was hands down everything I wanted and the event coordinator was amazing and had everything under control and made the day perfect from myself getting ready and bringing glasses to my room to enjoy some champagne before the ceremony with my ladies also running to find scissors. Also they were so understanding since we got married in Aug and the weather was going back and forth on if it was going to rain. They gave us to the last min to decide if we had to do the ceremony in the same room or in the woods like we wanted. We got married in the woods and it was perfect and it started to drizzle when we were done with the pictures after the ceremony. Then we finally got to the Zane ball room which they decorated perfectly !! Listened to everything we wanted. It was so perfect and couldn’t ask for anything more. Also the staff was amazing during the reception. And this was during Covid time and overall they handled it perfectly.

The Classic Restored building made our day feel elegant and timeless. The food was AMAZING and the chef was supper accommodating to our requests. We absolutely loved that they provide everything in house from table and linens all the way to food and decorations. This made planning so much easier since we did not have to source out multiple vendors. Totally recommend this venue for any wedding!

My husband and I recently tied the knot in February 2024. The Inn at Vint Hill was the perfect all-inclusive venue for our winter wedding. We got married indoors and it was a good size for our smaller wedding (50-60 people). The place has a timeless charm, which made it easier to decorate. Lots of space upstairs in the getting ready suites for both the groomsmen (including a pool table) and bridesmaids. The food was great and we heard lots of positive comments about the slow-cooked brisket. Dawn and her team worked with me to help bring my vision to life. And surpassed it! We felt like family with how flexible and accommodating they were, from being able to drop off decor weeks ahead of the wedding and always being responsive to any questions asked. It was a truly memorable day, so any future winter brides be sure to check out the Inn!

I was so happy with our entire wedding weekend at the Faena. We had our ceremony with 270 people on the beach, cocktail hour in and around the mammoth garden, and ceremony across the street at the Forum. Due to pricing we did a complete buyout of Casa Faena and had guests who wanted to stay at the main Faena Hotel book on their own. The guests who stayed at Casa Faena raved about it. Staff was friendly and they loved the charm of the boutique hotel and spent a lot of time on the roof). It comes without saying, the entire staff at the main hotel was also exceptional. As for the wedding I couldn’t say better things. The food was delicious from the cocktail hour to the late night snacks. The drinks were flowing, the there was a great selection in the standard menu that came with the wedding pricing. The weather helped the beach ceremony go without a flaw. Cocktail hour at sunset near the mammoth was dreamy. The Forum was such a cool space the have the reception. The guests loved the unique room, and the sound was great. We were worried after reading a review about the acoustics with the tall ceilings, but we were very pleased. Overall, this was a great place to host a wedding. P.S. when you book a wedding with the Faena a bridal concierge is included. Hilda! She was the best and so helpful throughout the day – the one person I didn’t know I needed. She helped me and the bridesmaids while we were getting ready, helped usher my husband around the property, and was always ready with a new drink while we were on the dance floor. She is the best!

The rooms are so freakin cool and unique as well. Transportation on the property is great too with all of the chauffeur, you barely have to walk around at all (which, during the summer you will want this!)

We could not recommend The Graham & Co enough for couples who want a laid back, weekend away with friends and family vibe for their wedding. If you have a strong vision of what you want, are willing to coordinate the vendors yourself, and are looking for a hip and beautiful place in the Catskills, this is the spot for you. The owner Martin and the manager Nathalie were super helpful with any questions we had throughout the months leading up to our event, and the weekend of they were a phenomenal help with everything from setup to making sure every person had anything they needed. We've had so many friends and family members speak incredibly highly of both the location and the staff. We love The Graham, highly recommend, and look forward to going back for years to come!

Us seeing the B&B for the first time in person 3 days before our wedding I was blown away, it was EXACTLY what I envisioned and the perfect place for our wedding. We also stayed as a family a couple nights at the B&B and the rooms we clean, warm and inviting. Cheryl went above and beyond to ensure our day was special, she fulfilled every request and there were many, she implemented all my ideas and worked well with the other vendors to give us what we wanted. I can’t express how much I appreciated all she did and how wonderful her staff was, even the chickens lol. It was just a peaceful and inviting environment and I will return to the B&B next time I need a getaway. I loved how it all turned out and that I was able to work seamlessly with her even all the way from Pennsylvania. I would give 10 stars if I could, just a great experience from beginning to end

From the historic charm to the large property, it was the perfect setting for our enchanted forest/fantasy world themed wedding! We had a small wedding weekend where we stayed at the Avery with 28 of our friends and family from Friday to Sunday. Terry, the manager, was extremely helpful answering any of my questions from when we toured and booked until even after the wedding. It was the perfect DIY wedding venue for us. They provided tables, chairs, tablecloths, choice of arbor, set up of their dance floor, tons of lighting all over the property, bar glasses, large kitchen for catering, and they also have tons of faux florals and decorations that we were allowed to use. If you don’t mind doing the DIY work, it is the most affordable (and beautiful in my opinion) venue in Calaveras county. I was so lucky to come across this gem, I had to share how much I loved it!

The wedding packages they offer were all inclusive and they included a free 2 night stay in the Sheraton hotel. I felt like a princess! The wedding packages includes food, decor, and bar package. All very reasonably priced! This place is a hidden gem and I highly recommend it to any couple looking to have a amazing experience.

Highly recommend holding your wedding reception at the Madison Concourse! Kylie was a huge part in making the day perfect. During the planning process, she answered my many emails quickly, answered any and all questions I had, and was always willing to talk through what the wedding day would look like. On the day of, Kylie checked in with me and my husband multiple times to see if we needed anything and to check if things were going as planned. The reception space (Wisconsin ballroom) we rented was so beautiful as well and the food was AMAZING! I cannot say enough about this incredible venue. From the beautiful property, to the attentive and friendly staff, Newagen made our entire wedding weekend smooth and seamless. Newagen offers all the charm of a small quaint Maine Inn with the delivery and professionalism of a large well run venue. Maura was amazing and responsive with the booking of the venue and sales process. She was so responsive in answering all my questions and helping us navigate putting the weekend structure together. The reins were smoothly handed over to Tiffany as the weekend got closer and she ensured everything ran smoothly through the weekend. We held a lobster bake Friday evening, ceremony and reception Saturday and a farewell breakfast Sunday morning. Every single aspect was flawless. Tiffany and her team kept things running on time, making sure everything I brought (decorations and the like) was put out so that my husband and I could just spend time with friends and family. It felt that every time I had a concern or a question, I could ask Tiffany and she'd have already thought of it/handled it. I truly cannot say enough about how amazing the staff was. From the front desk staff, managers, coordinators to the waiters, everyone made us and our guests feel at home, taken care of and special. My husband and I will definitely be returning to celebrate anniversaries and will recommend this venue to anyone. The property has so much to offer guests (pool, pickle ball, sunset path) and is not far from the cute downtown harbor and local sites like the coastal Maine botanical gardens. The chef was fantastic and the food was delicious. Highly recommend going to their pub for a bite if you are in the area and are considering this venue.

We had the absolute best experience hosting our wedding here. Natasha Norman was incredible to work with through the entire planning process. She was clear on pricing, set our expectations well, was incredibly responsive, and helped coordinate the event on the day of the wedding. We asked for some extra time to set up the room and, since the room hadn't been booked the day before the event, she let us come in the day prior to get everything in order. Natasha spoke with our DJ and coordinated for his set-up, which was very helpful. The team setting up the event also did the perfect job of setting up the tables and outdoor chairs exactly as we'd asked. I changed my mind on the arch at the last minute, and they had no problem making the change. The wedding was incredible, our guests felt comfortable in their rooms and were pleased they could bring their dogs so they didn't have to hire a dog-sitter. Everyone was impressed by the view and by the fact that the sun was setting behind the sweetheart table in the Bayview Ballroom. I also want to give a shoutout to the banquet manager who made us feel at home, kindly brought us beverages as we were setting up, and took care of us throughout the stay. I’ve received at least half a dozen compliments on the qualify of the food served, and I felt the pricing was very reasonable – especially when compared to other hotels on the water nearby. I also loved that the hotel provided us a contingency plan if we needed to move our outdoor wedding to the indoors because of rain or anything else. We truly felt special and valued and would use this venue again in a heartbeat.

My wedding was this past December, and I had been looking for a hotel to accommodate my family and friends. The Hyatt House in Morrisville was the perfect spot. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and even handed out gift bags to our guests. The event coordinator, Brett, is absolutely fantastic to work with. He is not only professional, but extremely kind and responsive. I am a big fan of Hyatt in general, but this experience just really solidified everything about Hyatt I already like. The hotel lobby area/bar was the perfect spot for the family to informally gather during the wedding weekend and the variety in breakfast day to day was also an added bonus. If you area looking for a spot to host your family and friends then definitely consider this hotel!

The bridal suite room is beautiful with a whirlpool tub and was perfect for my wedding party to get ready for the ceremony in. Our ceremony was elsewhere but I could see someone have everything right at the Sherwood and it being completely beautiful. Greg was absolutely wonderful to work with. There are 2 venues to choose from a formal venue room on the 1st floor and a basement bar venue which we rocked and danced our reception into the early morning hours. The photos are to die for trust me!! And, the town of Greene is wonderful and welcoming.

The historic Monte Vista Hotel is a key component to Black Mountain’s storied past. The town of Black Mountain grew rapidly after the railroad was completed in the late 19th century, and this new “railroad town” needed more lodging. Lucien and Rosalie Phillips opened the Monte Vista in 1919, repurposing a former school building. In 1937, the current brick building was constructed, further cementing the Monte Vista Hotel as a central piece of Black Mountain’s civic and social life. The Annex, a separate structure located behind the original, was added in 1975. Though the hotel has since undergone complete renovations and new ownership, many of the original elements have been preserved, and the new decorative touches complement the look and feel of the original structure.

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees.
