“Where to even begin... First off, I cannot say enough good things about Sweet Melissa's. But that won't stop me from trying. Born and raised in the great state of Montana, it was really important to me to have all local vendors at our wedding. I looked at some other Montana-based bakers and honestly saw some beautiful cakes. But nothing had really struck me as "the one." I wanted something truly unique and that spoke to us as a couple. Something I could look back on in wedding photos and say, "That was OUR cake." Months passed since the engagement and I still had not decided on a cake vendor. That was when a family friend recommended Sweet Melissa's. They had been to another wedding where she had supplied the cake and desserts and absolutely raved about how good it was. So I set up a consult/tasting with Melissa to see if she was a good fit for our event. Upon first meeting with her, we instantly connected. You know those people you can have just a 5 minute conversation with and you can already tell you were meant to meet them? That was my first meeting with Melissa. She totally understood my vision for not just the cake, but also how to weave it seamlessly into the theme of the entire wedding. But that's not the end of it. The cake we sampled from her was in no uncertain terms, to DIE for. I couldn't decide on a flavor, because they were all SO GOOD. I knew this was "the one" and booked her as soon as we could. Melissa was absolutely wonderful to work with, and I could tell she was truly invested in getting it just right. When it came to the big day, I had an idea of what the cake would look like as we had already discussed it in detail, but the final product truly exceeded expectations. Melissa handled all of the set up herself so I didn't have to worry about any of it. I was of course caught up in the chaos of day-of-wedding frenzy for most of the day, but when I finally saw the cake I was blown away. I may have even teared up a little, although my emotions were already a little compromised to be fair. But all that aside, WOW. We also ordered cupcakes and cookies for our guests to enjoy and I still am hearing from friends and family members how amazing the desserts were at our wedding. Sweet Melissa's perfectly blends together artistry and decadence in her baked goods, so that you can have your cake and eat it too. I highly recommend booking with Sweet Melissa's as soon as you possibly can!”
