He also did a nice job checking in with us to make sure the songs that people requested were okay to play-we appreciated that for sure. Our experience with Summit Events was mostly positive.”

His prices are very reasonable and he let us add on uplighting at the last minute. We wanted a dj who would work with a very specific playlist we curated for the entire day and he agreed to do that which was rare in our dj search! Everything sounded great and looked great. He does not talk during the reception unless prompted which we loved. And when he did mc he was professional and hype. Our only problem was we emailed him part of our reception playlist and it must have gotten lost so he deviated a bit from what we wanted during the reception. “Josh had our whole wedding dancing all night. With really creative mixing, he was able to blend in so many different genres seamlessly. Most importantly, he was really attuned to the crowd's energy and was great about knowing when to play a song in full and when to just tease us with quick samples. If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want, instead of playing just the same 30 songs you hear at every wedding, Josh is your DJ. The music selection process is easy - in addition to check-in calls and zooms, he uses an app, so you can build you can craft the perfect playlist ahead of time. We both really enjoyed adding songs to our app throughout the planning process. But the best was actually hearing the way he was able to combine so many of our favorite songs for our reception party. He had all our of guests (ages ranging from 10 to over 80 years old) dancing all night long. Our first comment from friends the day after our wedding was about how fun they had on the dance floor and how great the music was! I also think its important to add that Josh handled our wedding ceremony music, cocktail music, dinner music and sparkler exits as well- he provided mics, sounds systems, everything we needed, and all of those were executed perfectly. He was on time for set-up, very respectful of the rules/guidelines in places at our historic venue, and he collaborated really well with our other vendors to make sure everything looked and sounded perfect. Also he is just the nicest guy- really responsive on email and genuine- which was so, so appreciated during tho last few chaotic months of wedding planning. 10/10 - highly recommend.”

“We hired Elevation Band for our Wedding at the Kimmel Center on 5/18/24. I could write a novel on how amazing they were but will try to keep it brief. They are professional from start to finish (Lea was awesome to work with) and make your entire night from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception of the highest quality. The band is the perfect mix of amazing vocalists who complement each other so well and other top quality band members. The dance floor was packed all night to the extent the dance floor was shaking at one point. The ballads at the beginning of dinner service were breathtaking. We had multiple people come up to us saying they didn't know we were having Adele at our Wedding (shoutout to Emily for her amazing ballad). I could write something on each member because they are that good!! We knew we wanted an awesome band as that can make your wedding and Elevation did not disappoint. That is all anyone talked about all night, the next day, and all of this week. Don't think twice about booking them. If you have the opportunity, you must book them while you can!!”

He set up very quickly at our venue, which was key given we were running on a tight schedule, and he managed to produce nice sound in a very cavernous space (no idea how!). He kept us running on time and made all transitions seamless. Catrese Green (West) got her pseudonym from her grandmother who nicknamed her “Minnesota Fats” because she was a chubby baby. The nickname was shortened to Mini and has stuck with her over the years. Miss Mini began singing with her father in a Top 40 band called “Electric Image” in 1990. She now has her own band that performs her original music as well as cover tunes. She has been touring throughout Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
