How can I make a Venmo cash fund for my registry?

We're excited to offer a zero cash-fee option so you can receive gifts with Venmo!

To select Venmo as the payment option for your guests, you'll want to add a cash fund to your registry. Under guest payment options, you'll see two choices:

  1. Credit Card - This allows you to accept all major credit cards and have Zola manage the checkout process and track the gifts. There's a 2.5% processing fee to get these funds to your bank account. You can either take on that fee or have your guests cover it by adjusting this setting.

  2. Venmo - A completely free option that allows you to display your Venmo handle. Once you select Venmo as the payment option, you'll be prompted to add in your Venmo handle, and the last 4 digits of the phone number associated with your Venmo account. Fill in this information and select the "Add to Registry" button and boom - you’re all set!

When your guests click on your cash fund they will see your Venmo User ID and have the option to head to your Venmo account to contribute or click "I contributed already" and leave their name and the amount they contributed. As long as they complete this step, the gift will show up on your Gift Tracker.

If you do not see the funds within your Venmo account, it is possible they did not complete the transaction on Venmo. As Zola is not affiliated with Venmo, you may need to troubleshoot with the guest. Use of Venmo is subject to Venmo’s user agreement and all applicable other terms and conditions or policies of Venmo.
