SRO, the Scott Ragsdale Orchestra is a unique society dance orchestra based in Washington, DC, specializing in classic dance music from the 1920s-30s-40s to the new millennium. Ray handpicked the first 8 members, rebranded the band as Big Ray and the Kool Kats, had a rehearsal or 2, recorded a demo and almost immediately the band found itself with almost more work than it could handle. 8 guys traveling around, throwing the equipment into Ray’s conversion band and playing everything from outdoor concerts to nightclubs to fraternity parties, each all the while holding down full time day gigs.

One of the most experienced and highly acclaimed Professional DJs in the Washington, DC Area, Marc Augenbraum has been a Disc Jockey and MC for over 20 years. I am a christian, that much should be obvious. I am a product of the hip hop culture, but I’ve always loved music even before I gave my life to CHRIST. When I first entered into relationship with GOD thru CHRIST there weren’t a lot godly examples in hip hop music. This has changed over the last 10 – 15 years. This shift has drawn me back to my culture and has awaken my interest in DJing. I have been spinning for 7+ years, and I never stop learning. I love playing in front of people, and there is nothing like that energy.

After studying music composition and performance at Salisbury University, David migrated from the small-town atmosphere of his youth on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, where he has since been playing music for a living. He now performs regularly along the mid-Atlantic region of the US, occasionally touring in other parts of the country as well. In the process, he has developed a strong fan base and attracted attention from many well-known names in the music industry and beyond, from Performing Songwriter magazine to Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket to Ben Stein.

Tiffany Rose Shanta began playing violin and piano at a very young age. She comes from a musical family, having first been taught by her mother, an accomplished harpist, before being under the tutelage of world renowned violinist and conductor, Luis Haza. She toured in France and Germany, and performed at Carnegie Hall. For many years now, Tiffany has performed for weddings and special events in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas. Some of her past clients and venues include: The King of Saudi Arabia, the Library of Congress, The National Press Club, The Kennedy Center, The Smithsonian.
