Husband and wife duo, The Poor Cousins, combine intimate, nourishing songs and gutsy tunes in an easy-going style. On fiddle, Naomi finds sounds both fiery and flowing, blending seamlessly with Emmet's rhythmic and elegant guitar back-up. We have been in business since 1978 (nearly double that of any Vermont Wedding DJ company) and have done over 8,000 weddings since our founding. Award-winning Scottish harpist Elinor Nicholson graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with a first class honours degree in 2014. She then went on to complete a Masters in Music with distinction in 2016. During her studies, Elinor won the prestigious RNCM Concerto Competition which resulted in a performance of Debussy’s ‘Danses’ for harp and string orchestra at the 2017 RNCM String Festival. Elinor was twice a finalist in the RNCM Gold Medal competition- the highest accolade for performance offered by the college.

I have been playing the piano and connecting music with my emotions and inner self since I was 9. My style of piano playing is not traditional as I didn't learn to read music. My music comes from my heart and I believe that music heals and connects us. I play music as it heals me and I love to share those benefits for others in small intimate groups as well as larger groups.
