Cakes was born in 2021. It was only fitting that I come full circle and work back in the wedding industry where my heart truly lies. Ever since I was little, huddled on the couch with my five siblings rewatching The Lion King, I knew that I wanted to be a storyteller. Growing up in a creative household, I studied a wide range of arts before settling on filmmaking. I envisioned in my head that I would be the next Spielberg, but after shooting my first wedding in 2013 all my plans changed.

I am an award-winning photographer who creates unique, thoughtful, and artistic photographs that you will cherish for a lifetime. I am married to a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist who shares my passion for adventure and the outdoors. We have three active and amazing young children who keep us busy and a house full of laughter. My freelance work has been published in The New York Times, People Magazine, Phoenix Magazine, and Arizona Highways as well as countless national and international publications.

I believe in capturing moments over poses. When you look back at your wedding album I want you to see all the people you love most and the joy you felt that day. It's not always fun being in front of the camera which is why I like to make it less about how you look and more about how you feel. You won't be worrying about what to do with your hands because you'll be enjoying the moment!

When I was a young teenager filming my buddies’ skateboarding tricks, I never imagined it was something that could turn into a career. But that is what happened! The more I filmed, the more I edited, the better I became at my craft. I realized that I had a lot more to offer in a creative sense, and I felt compelled to bring that side of me into my work. I began to expand my services to weddings, events, and businesses in other industries, which allowed me to enhance my films with lively story-telling.

Formerly known as Bella Giardino, North Valley Garden has undergone a remarkable transformation since opening its doors. Due to permitting issues, Bella Giardino was forced to shut its doors, leaving behind a property that fell into disarray. However, a growing church eager to breathe new life into the wedding venue purchased the property in 2015. Alwun House is a nonprofit arts organization set in an historic 1912 house in downtown Phoenix. The historic house is wrapped with patio gardens. Rental would include use of our tables and chairs, food tent and separate bar service area, stage, dressing room and both garden patios. There are multiple areas to stage the ceremony, even the front yard lawn has been used for the ceremony. You would have access the entire day (9am to midnight) allowing you time to start setup in morning, decorate per your desires then host the ceremony/reception in afternoon/evening. We do permit self catering. It's pack-it-in and pack-it-out in the one day.
