I was referred to TCC by a friend of mine and hiring a coordinator was the best decision I have made in my life (outside of saying "yes" to my husbands proposal). I generally am a super organized and capable person who plans events/convening's in DC but a wedding is a whole different beast and I wouldn't have been able to do it without Ja'el's help! We actually decided to have a destination wedding in Mexico and this was TCC's first destination wedding overall but I couldn't tell! Ja'el was very knowledgable about the process and really made sure I stuck to the timeline that I created (and she corrected) and keep me feeling positive about the whole experience. During the actual wedding day I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. I could not imagine how different my views on my wedding would be if I didn't have her working with the on-site coordinator to make sure things were in the correct place at the correct time, troubleshooting things, etc. I will also say that Ja'el is truly a JOY to work with. She is so funny and calming - I was dreading the process and she made it so much better. Ja'el, don't get mad that I am saying this story but it still makes me laugh: While I was getting ready in the suite with my bridesmaids, Ja'el popped in to make sure we had our breakfast and adequate amounts of champagne. She was on her iPad in full wedding planner mode and I started to ask her some dumb question (truly, just unnecessary nervous-bride questions). She just stared at me and said "aren't you supposed to be sitting down and drinking champagne" and I was realized that she was right! So I sat and stopped worrying about everything! And everything was PERFECT! I'm actually very sad that I won't be able to talk to Ja'el every week now since I don't plan on having another wedding anytime soon. If you are considering hiring a planner, hire her and her team! Truly the best investment and addition to our budget!

Evermore Occasions gave us the wedding of our dreams! Carmen met with us early to make a design plan for a beautiful aesthetic with lots of personal touches. When we had a specific vision in mind for any aspect of the wedding, Carmen made a plan to execute that vision within our budget, and if we were not sure what we wanted, Carmen showed us multiple design options to help us figure out what we liked. If we did not have a strong preference about a decision, we went with Carmen’s recommendation because we trusted her completely to make the right choice for us. She took the time to get to know us and our taste and preferences so that she could select options that we would love. We appreciated that Carmen always gave us multiple vender options with detailed notes as well as her thoughts and recommendations to assist us with choosing vendors. Carmen always worked within our budget and did not try to push us to spend more than we were comfortable with. But if we asked to see vendors above or below the budget range we had discussed, she was always ready with that information and prepared to discuss how we could offset any budget increases. Once we had our vendors selected, Carmen made sure our contracts addressed all of our needs and facilitated any questions or issues we wanted to negotiate. She also gave us valuable insight to understand industry standards and what we should look for from vendors. In the lead up to the wedding, Carmen fielded questions and communications from all our vendors, and even from family members and the wedding party as we got close to the wedding, which was unbelievably helpful. Carmen and her team truly took all the little things off of our plate in the weeks and days before the wedding so that we could focus on the important things. On the day of, Carmen personally took care of making sure all the important things were handled, and someone from her team was always there if we needed something (although we didn’t because everything was so perfectly planned!). Between the ceremony and reception, Carmen made sure we got to try our signature cocktails and each of the appetizers so that we did not have to worry about missing them during cocktail hour. The set up and take down of everything happened so seamlessly that we weren’t even aware of it, and at the end of the night, all the leftover items as well as any gifts or cards were perfectly packed up in our bridal suite. Carmen and her team made the wedding planning process easy and fun, and the day itself was everything we wanted and more. My husband and I, as well as our families, will always be grateful to Carmen for giving us a beautiful, memorable, and incredibly fun celebration of our love. Thank you, Evermore Occasions!

I planned most of our wedding, so I was initially on the fence if I should reserve a day-of-coordinator or not, since our venue had a catering manger; but looking back, I would absolutely urge every couple to DO IT. After meeting Michelle and having a wedding that went so perfectly, I really see this as an investment in the time & energy you put into the planning process. Knowing that Michelle understood exactly how I wanted things to go and I could trust her to make that happen allowed me to full be in the moment during our wedding and enjoy every single minute of the day. Kristy was the wedding vendor I didn’t know I needed, until I met her! My husband and I hired Kristy as our day of coordinator for our wedding last weekend and she was nothing short of amazing! Once our wedding was about 4 months out and we really started to get into the weeds of planning our big day, we realized that we needed a day of coordinator as we were doing a lot of DIY touches for the wedding and needed someone there to make sure our vision could actually come to life. Upon meeting Kristy, she immediately gave us a ton of ideas as to where to thrift on a tight budget and had so much information and helpful tips to offer. She also took over the vendor communication 3 months out which was a huge lift in the final planning stage! She was very effective in her coordination with all of our vendors and point of contacts so that on the day of the wedding we were really just enjoying the day both carefree and stress-free. Kristy offers a ton of helpful documents to review after your first session with her and she creates a custom timeline for you with the day scheduled to the minute. She was so organized and really kept us on track! Kristy also did an amazing job with the breakdown of the event especially since we brought in a lot of the decor in ourselves. She was flexible in making sure that all of our items got into one of our family member’s cars so it could be picked up whenever we had time the next day. This was a huge help so that guests at the wedding weren’t carrying flowers, vases, and signs home for us and instead headed directly to the after party. She even texted my parents the morning after with the details of where all of our items were stored and shared some great photos (and a reel with us) from the day! :) Kristy was also an advocate for us as clients, which went a really long way. We were having issues communicating well with one of our vendors, but Kristy stepped in and found a way to get a hold of the vendor and ensure our ask could be met. Without that push, our day would have looked a lot different than the vision we had hoped for- she really made our day come to life. After going through the wedding process, I truly think everyone needs a day of coordinator so if you have a slight inclination that someone is needed, think no further and contact Kristy! While weddings can get expensive as we all know, the best use of our money on our wedding day was spent on Kristy. Looking back on our day, we can’t thank her enough!!

Create You Events was the reason why our dream wedding became a reality!! My husband and I consider ourselves to be good planners, and like other couples, we thought we could make do without a wedding planner. We were only looking for a day-of coordinator when we reached out to Create You Events. We interviewed Vicky and realized the value she could provide us throughout the planning process. We quickly changed our stance and hired her as both our day-of coordinator and wedding planner. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The amount of time and mental energy saved was beyond worth it. Vicky and her team's guidance kept us on schedule and organized during our nine-month timeline. Vicky was able to handle all obstacles in stride. No challenge was ever too big for her, and that calmed many of our nerves. What sets Vicky and her team apart is their ability to complement the areas that my husband and I lacked. We were transparent with those aspects which we weren't as prepared for and our budget constraints, and they would always found solutions or presented us with alternatives that met our needs. There were countless times when Vicky would save the day by bringing up things that we wouldn't even consider! She was great with vendor management and helped identify vendors that fit our criteria. In addition to Create You Events' planning and coordination service, we also opted for their decor services. What was the most dreaded part of planning for us was no longer a challenge. Trust me when I say they made all of our worries go away when it came to decor and signage. We were able to provide our vision and they delivered on every little detail. The arrangements and signage fit the elegance of our theme and venue perfectly. It was a huge benefit having a team that already understood our vision and was attentive to every request. Where do I begin for the day-of coordination? Vicky and her team were the calming force to our chaotic day. We wanted to maximize our day, so we planned our timeline down to the minute. From their planning, they set up our day so that we didn't have to make any major decisions. All we had to do was follow the timeline they put together for us. This allowed us to enjoy our day and appreciate the little moments we would have otherwise missed. Even when things that were out of our control went array, Vicky and her team didn't even flinch from the pressure and were quick to find a resolution, having no impact on our day. Simply put, we couldn't have had a perfect day without the involvement from Create You Events. The planning, decor, and coordination was stress free for us and allowed us to allocate our time to other areas that required more of our individual attention. Vicky and her team were incredibly easy to work with and we felt comfortable enough to share all of our circumstances with her. We will always give the highest recommendation to Create You Events to our friends and family for their wedding and/or any major event. We are still left in awe by how they were able to listen to our vision and run with it. We definitely won't miss wedding planning, but will miss our planning calls with Vicky. She made me feel heard, understood, and supported - even when my parents were trying to push for their own choices! - and made sure my husband and I were happy with each and every decision. I had an easy time trusting her and her ideas. Our wedding day was flawless thanks to LaShonda’s diligence, creativity, and leadership. Everything from the ceremony rehearsal to our last dance and send off was perfectly executed and easy. Our entire wedding party raved about LaShonda and her incredibly helpful schedule — a HUGE bonus for this Type A/control freak bride. I knew LaShonda had everything covered - even things I never thought of - so I was able to fully relax in the days leading up to the wedding and on wedding day. The only thing I had to worry about was getting dressed!! My only complaint is that our business together has concluded — I will miss Kawania, LaShonda, and the entire HW Events Team! She had absolutely everything covered to the point that I actually felt a bit guilty about how little I did because, hello, that's my personality. As for Tyra's personality--well, she's the best. Super duper friendly, professional and like a good BFF, not afraid to give it to you straight. Highly, highly recommend. P.S.--This was a second wedding for my hubby and I, and it was a very small group. If you figure you don't need a planner because your wedding is going to be intimate, you're wrong. Trust me when I tell you that you still need someone to coordinate with the vendors, make sure the ceremony musicians aren't dead, talk you through a tuxedo crisis, and literally sprint to jump into your officiant's car, who is lost and driving around the mall looking for the venue. ;)

I hired Maddie for a day of coordinator for my wedding. It was one of my last minute decisions that I’m beyond grateful I chose (luckily I was a winter bride so it’s a slower season and was able to book her). If you’re on the fence about getting a coordinator do it! Maddie is worth every penny. She helped with multiple bumps in our wedding timeline, so much so that I didn’t even know what had gone wrong. She helped make executive decisions with decorating the venue when certain things weren’t up to par. She even brought me hors d’oeuvres from cocktail hour during our photos which was so appreciated. I cannot recommend Maddy and Cass enough for someone who needs help on their big day! I was pretty set on planning when it came to vendors, however I was completely lost on the logistical aspect of the wedding day itself. Maddy and Cass were lifesavers in creating the perfect timeline with plenty of Plan B options (which we utilized for weather!). They were so thorough, responding with the most thoughtful emails to some of my silly questions. We hired them for "wedding management", but they did so much more than that. They had an intro call with us, came to my house & met my parents, went to our walk through, had another final call, and were with us from the morning of the wedding day until midnight. They thought of creative solutions for me to address vendors when things got a little hairy, and even offered to reach out to my vendor for me. The day of packet they created was unbelievable. They were everything I needed to keep my day stress free.

She went above and beyond. Always checking in communicating with me . Quick to respond! She lives in Boston and the wedding was in FL yet she was easily available if I needed. (That says a lot about her) I gave her A LOT of information and she remembered it all for the wedding. Best investment I made was hiring Before You Say I Do . She was super organized, thoughtful and experienced! There were things she knew to look out for that I hadn’t thought of. Annie truly loves what she does and it shows in her work. She is passionate and patient! Annie, I am so grateful that I found you thank you so much! There’s so much I can say on this but it be like writing a book. 10/10 recommend She also works with your budget and is willing to do a budget plan if needed!!

If I really included every way that Island Creek Events went above and beyond to make my day and the whole planning process perfect, this would be a novel. From the beginning, Katharine was attentive, detail oriented, and answered my hundreds of questions with a smile on her face and thorough information. Not only did she keep me on track and keep me sane via email and phone calls, she came to multiple site visits to make sure everyone was on the same page and we all felt comfortable with logistics. Katharine and her team have a magical way of making you feel like your day is the ONLY day on her calendar despite supporting other events, and we truly felt like we got the VIP experience. She was quick to respond whenever there was a concern, she even helped me negotiate some last minute hiccups with our venue that felt too overwhelming to handle on our own. Her level of organization is outstanding, and all of the random thoughts or ideas that I had floating in my brain she jotted down to take all the weight off my shoulders. When it came to the day of the event, she put out more fires that I can count and some I wasn't even aware of. She was the reason that our wedding day was perfect, our guests were happy, and made it an unforgettable night for all. 100/10 recommend Island Creek Events.
