Swanee Theatre opened as a single screen movie theatre in 1940 and operated as such up until the 70's. In 2019 it was purchased and renovated into what it is now, a beautiful historic entertainment venue. About Haw River Ballroom The Haw River Ballroom is a beautiful riverside venue set in the former Dye House of Saxapahaw’s Historic Cotton Mill. Once owned by Pulitzer prize winner Paul Green, this completely renovated 1890s farmhouse nestled under towering oaks offers a seamless blend of old and new. Tons of history yet it looks like something Joanna Gaines decorated.

It would be our honor to work with you in planning a most special and memorable day with family and friends. Spring House is a beautifully restored 1920s mansion, and we do feel it lends itself well to romantic celebrations. Rather than having set packages, we do prefer to work closely with our clients to tailor the event to fit their vision for the day. Spring House can be utilized in a variety of different ways, and we have hosted very intimate receptions for 12 guests, to weddings for 250. We host beautiful ceremonies on our outdoor terrace in every season.

Homesteads Events is a division of Homesteads Management, one of the Piedmont and Western North Carolina fastest-growing and well-respected event & hospitality companies.
