I cannot stop raving about this venue and the whole event planning team. We had such an amazing experience having out wedding at the Horton Grand Hotel, it makes me want to do it all over again. The venue itself is beautiful and provides a perfect romantic setting for an outdoor wedding. Planning a wedding this year during COVID was nothing short of difficult but Jennifer and the whole event planning staff were so helpful and understanding throughout the whole planning process and really made planning this wedding and keeping our original date so easy. Jennifer constantly kept us updated on the current status of the hotel and was amazing at relaying information related to closures and events to us. She was knowledgeable about the restrictions and helped us plan for a day that was not only perfect in every way but also provided safety to our guests. It was a pleasure having our wedding at such a beautiful location and we were so pleased with how it all turned out and the responsiveness of the staff. There were a number of last minute challenges that made our planning stressful, it was worth every stress and the staff at the Horton Grand Hotel helped us through every set back allowing us to fully enjoy our day. Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa

5.0

Coronado, CA
  • Up to 400 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

Imagine saying "I do" at your Coronado Island wedding while feeling a warm evening breeze fresh off the San Diego Bay at sunset. Our hotel makes every effort to make Coronado Island wedding planning successful, magical, and exceptional.

I got married at the Coronado Island Marriott in April 2023. It was the most magical weekend of my life! It was an Indian wedding - 300 guests and had events both Friday and Saturday (3 events total), all held at the Coronado Island Marriott. The views from the wedding site are stunning - you get the water and downtown skyline as your backdrop, and people were stunned. One of our events (Sangeet - Friday night) was at the hotel's Skyline Terrace, and the sunset hitting downtown and the lights in the night were breathtaking. You also get a view of the Coronado bridge. Everywhere you go, there are views. Our guests were raving all weekend about the accommodations. The hotel boasts the biggest hotel rooms in San Diego, and they did not disappoint. They were extremely clean and modern. The biggest bonus was the hotel wasn't huge to where people felt overwhelmed walking from one side to another. It was intimate while still being spacious, and you got the vibe it was my wedding wherever you went in the hotel. The hotel is super close to the ferry to downtown, so when people had free time, some of them would go downtown for food or site-seeing, and come back. It was super easy. The hotel has a spa as well (my husband and I got a couples massage the day after the wedding), which is so tidy and relaxing as well. There's a park nearby, and flamingos on site which I know a lot of the kids loved watching. The Coronado Beach is a 10 min drive (which is where we got some of our wedding pictures done), and a few people spend time there. The hotel also has a wonderful/spacious pool area, which a lot of my friends used. There are also a lot of restaurants walking distance from the hotel, which was nice since each of the families had welcome dinners at separate places - guests didn't have to worry about ubering or walking far distances. There's something for everyone to do/see during down time at or near the hotel. The hotel at the restaurant is called Albaca, and served up some delicious food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all great), and cocktails. My husband loved Albaca's spicy margarita so much when we visited one time, that he decided to make it his signature drink! I know a lot of guests spent time there hanging out. I have to give a shoutout to Kheshini over at the Marriott (Director of Event Planning) who was with us every step of the way - from site tours, to signing, to helping us plan the event, to being there when it all came together. Even if we visited the Marriott unannounced and we let her know we were in town, she'd go out of our way to say hi. She is so friendly, and just the person you'd want helping run your event. She worked with us to try to get everything we wanted, and to make sure that we were happy (ex. I wanted a very specific watermelon vodka for my signature drink, and Kheshini made sure that they were able to find it and order it in time). She was also extremely patient with the questions that came from our parents (which was a lot!). If you're considering booking the Coronado Island Marriott as a wedding venue, I 10/10 would recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed, and I felt like a princess the entire weekend. Everyone there is extremely polite and accommodating, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy on the most important weekend of my life thus far.

The Terrace Room

5.0

Oakland, CA
  • Up to 190 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $13,500

Oakland’s Most Enchanting Wedding & Celebration Venue Our panoramic view encompasses the blue-green of Lake Merritt and the lush Oakland hills. A special treat for evening events is the Necklace of Lights, which is a chain of lights on ornate Victorian light poles that surround the entire lake

We will forever remember our gorgeous Oakland wedding at the Terrace Room. This venue highlights the beauty of Oakland, especially at night. It’s absolutely stunning. Candi (the event coordinator) was super sweet and worked with us faithfully, even through two COVID-19 postponements. After hearing about all the horrors couples went through with unaccommodating venues, Terrace Room made it easy to stick it out with them to have the wedding we originally wanted. Their food is fantastic as well! We keep getting compliments on it from our guests to this day. Choosing Terrace Room meant knocking out many to-do’s off our wedding planning list, as they provide a lot of services in their pricing. Speaking of price, this place can’t be beat. You get a lot for your money. Take a look at their preferred vendor list as well, they have some winners! Thank you eternally to Candi and Terrace Room for hosting the most beautiful night of our lives.

Omni Hotel San Francisco

5.0

San Francisco, CA
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $5,000

Four Diamond rated Omni San Francisco Hotel is in the heart of downtown. An ideal choice for a business stay, romantic getaway or California vacation. A short walk from art and cultural centers, the historic cable car line, Union Square and Chinatown, attractions are convenient to reach from our hotel in San Francisco. Our 362 guest rooms are a charming blend of traditional and modern. Relaxing spaces with comfortable beds and warm, welcoming decor.

The Omni made an incredible first impression on us. It’s a beautiful & grand space, but there was something very comfortable about it at the same time. That’s mainly due to Jano Paredes, our event coordinator. He was so welcoming & genuinely passionate about creating a special event for us. We toured two other venues, Julia Morgan & Webster Hall. While these two venues are beautiful, there weren’t nearly as caring or appreciative of our business as the Omni. The Omni made the stressful planning process enjoyable (we planned it in about 3 months!) & they were understanding when we had last minute changes & requests. They were also very flexible throughout the wedding planning. They even swapped out some of the beer in their package so they could bring in brands we liked better. Amanda Maggard is amazing. She managed the accommodations for all the guests. Many of our guests also commented on how incredible the check-in was. It was rainy that weekend, so the Omni was quick to offer complimentary umbrellas. They even gave each guest a free drink voucher at the hotel bar! Amanda also made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable in the Presidential Suite, complete with champagne, ice buckets, & several glasses for my visitors. It’s a lovely space to take getting-ready pictures. I was originally worried the grand ballroom wasn’t going to fit our vision & was torn on using the same space for the ceremony & reception (they have another room available if you’d prefer not to do this), but it was gorgeous! The spaces felt totally unique between the ceremony & the reception. The grand ballroom really provides a blank slate to create something beautiful & it can be difficult to appreciate when it’s completely empty. The mezzanine where the cocktail hour was held is beautiful & needs no additional decorations & the dim sum buffet was a huge hit. Guests loved the reception dinner menu. We went with a plated dinner selection of sea bass, chicken, or oyster mushrooms. The crab soup was delicious & by far the most popular. The passion fruit cheesecake was exceptional, but we also offered our guests a lovely Marjolaine cake slice. Later that evening, the Presidential suite where I initially got ready was transformed into our honeymoon suite. We were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, & two custom Omni robes with our initials embroidered on them (my new initials since I was changing my name). It was so touching that it brought tears to our eyes. The Financial District was the optimal neighborhood to host our wedding. It was very safe & picturesque. We had a several family members nervous about coming to San Francisco because of the negative media coverage, but they all fell in love with the city by the end of the weekend. I know Webster Hall wouldn’t have given us the same treatment (they didn’t seem to care if they had our business or not). Julia Morgan was wonderful, but with the Omni, we just had a feeling we’d be in the best possible hands by people who genuinely cared, & we were right. Now, we love the Omni so much that we had Valentine’s Day at Monte’s two weeks after our wedding & the hotel surprised us with dessert & champagne, as well as a card signed by their staff congratulating us on our wedding. It’s a bar we now frequent because of the quality of service, food/drinks, & of course, our wonderful memories there. The Omni was the absolute best decision of our entire wedding.

Honeypot

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 120 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $6,200

Since 2015, many engaged couples who seek to find a unique warehouse venue space walk through our doors with satisfaction - and we are grateful for your consideration. If you’re looking for a dramatic, versatile, industrial space with tons of original character, to host your wedding ceremony or reception, then our warehouse venue is the perfect place! Honeypot sets the tone for romance  and elegance, with our vintage-inspired white washed brick walls, exposed bow trusses, cathedral ceiling and incredible natural lighting. Our warehouse venue is broken up into two main spaces - your reception hall and ceremony room. In between exists your bridal lounge, bar area, kitchenette, vendor stations and storage. Hosting your ceremony and reception in their own dedicated spaces creates group intimacy each stage of your wedding demands. Our main reception hall is revealed once your ceremony and cocktail hour has concluded, delivering that mysteriously fun and shocking transition to your guests.

My husband & I were blessed enough to have our wedding 02/2020 right before the pandemic really hit (gathering with 150 people!? wow seems impossible now). While I was researching venues, I knew the look I was going for-industrial, white brick, concrete floors, minimalistic-and found HNYPT. It was the first venue we looked at... and ended up being the only one we looked at! We fell in love, its even more gorgeous than in pictures. The staff, especially Michael, were so nice & accommodating. The venue is gorgeous and a beautiful slate to have any event there. My other vendors also had great things to say about HNYPT. Even though parking in DT can be a nightmare, there is a parking lot across the street or you can rent out the adjacent parking lot (theres also street parking if you're lucky!). I 10/10 recommend booking with HNYPT!

The Gardens At Heather Farm

5.0

Walnut Creek, CA
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Set against a breathtaking backdrop of vibrant garden landscapes, wedding couples take center stage to celebrate their special day. Picture exchanging vows in a stunning ceremony surrounded by thousands of roses, savoring cocktails and conversations as you stroll along tree-lined garden paths, and dancing the night away in a spacious hilltop reception hall with panoramic views of acres of natural beauty.

Five stars for The Gardens at Heather Farm! As a vendor, one of the most important details in planning the perfect wedding (aside from making sure that my clients are happy!) is having a strong team at the venue. From the moment I walked into the Camellia Room for my last event at the Gardens, the office staff began checking everyone's vaccination cards and then followed through with each guest. I appreciated the efficiency and professionalism throughout the entire process. As the wedding continued, the staff provided constant support and was always available for any question. At the end of the evening, there was no doubt that I would be able to find a professional to be with me for the final walk-through. All of these details ensured that I would have what I needed to provide the best experience for my clients!

The Sinclair on G Street

5.0

San Diego, CA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $2,000

The Sinclair on G Street offers 5,700 Sq. Ft. of unique event space in downtown San Diego. The venue features the old-time beauty only found in some of San Diego’s most historic buildings: original exposed brick, vaulted ceilings, open beams, and beautiful wood floors. The perfect blank canvas to envision your next event.

My husband and I got married at Sinclair on G this past February. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough. It is BYO-Everything, which allows for so much personal touch and creativity, budget flexibility, AND the venue itself is so gorgeous as a blank canvas ... the brick walls, wood floors, and concrete and white details elevate the entire space before anything even goes into it! This allowed us to lean into the natural elements, pare down our decor, and create the wedding of our dreams. Booking was easy, there was always someone available to answer questions or give us tips and tricks from other events, and there are no vendor restrictions as long as they have the proper insurance. SEVERAL of the guests specifically commented on how amazing the space was. It felt intimate, warm, classic, and unique all at once. Thank you so much to everyone there who helped us set the stage for the most joyful day of our lives!
