We had the pleasure of working with Stephanie on our Greenpoint Loft wedding last week and it made a world of difference for us to have someone in our corner! With a DIY venue and about 14 vendors to organize, having her for the month leading up to our day was such a relief. Where can we even start with the OSO team? We worked with them on their full-service planning package and they were so attentive from start to finish. We'll break our review into two portions: planning and day-of execution. Planning My husband and I had some pretty firm ideas about how we wanted the wedding to play out. Team OSO listened to our every need and did SO much research around venues that would fit the bill. Every step of the way, every time they came back to us with venue and vendor options, I was so happy we decided to work with them. They provided so much detail, and just enough options to not get decision fatigue. When there are so many things to think about for a day like this, decision fatigue is something that is so real, but Team OSO always found options within all the right criteria and budget for us to choose from. It was so nice having a team serve up options for you on a silver platter and all you have to do is make a choice! This will be the part I miss most about planning. Day-of execution It has been exactly a month since our wedding, and I'm still hearing from family and friends how impressed they were with the OSO team. The professionalism, the attention to detail, the constant smiles on their faces--they were a breath of fresh air to have around. They carried out every single last detail of ours to a tee, and was just so attentive to not just me and my husband, but our bridal party, and our guests alike. Without the team, I would have been such a different person on our wedding day. They kept everything running-- my husband and I didn't look at the clock once. The best part was that they constantly reminded us to really soak in the different moments throughout the day, because it truly does happen so fast. ***Bonus Points*** One of the things my husband and I knew early on with wedding planning was that we did not want to spend much of our budget on decor. We wanted good food, booze, and a great venue--so naturally, decor fell to the way bottom. As a full-service planning client, we got to use Team OSO's in-house inventory of decor and that truly was a game changer for us. I didn't have to worry about where to buy or rent things, or what to do with any of the decor afterwards. I also loved knowing that the decor would be reused afterwards and not collecting dust or taking up space in a landfill somewhere. OSO also offers custom signage, and it was so fun seeing all of the details we thought of come to life through all of the signage Michelle put together. It was such a privilege to have Team OSO by our side, we cannot recommend them enough!

Saskia is absolutely phenomenal. We had hired her for weekend of coordination but about six weeks before had a family emergency that made it necessary to have more of her help. She stepped in fully and helped us SO much to still be able to execute our wedding. She has such keen attention to detail while not losing sight of an overall vision. We felt like she just understood what we wanted and just “got it”. We could not have asked for someone more lovely and easy to work with. She helped us plan every detail for our camp wedding at OVY in San Gregorio. Her staff were amazing to work with as well. We cannot recommend her highly enough!!

Working with Sandra and her team at Savvy Weddings was one of the best decisions we made while planning our dream wedding. Sandra was such a pleasure to work with from the very beginning, providing a clear timeline of the planning process and making us feel special every step of the way. One of our favorite days was meeting with Sandra and the staff at Encore to pick out our dinner place settings, linens, and chairs. While all of the choices and details can be overwhelming at times, Sandra was able to help guide us and make suggestions that fit our style and exactly what we were looking for. Meshawn and the team at Perfection Unlimited were our Coordination team for our October 2023 wedding. We could not have asked for a better team to coordinate our unique wedding ceremony that was a surprise to our guests. After connecting with PU via Thumbtack back in mid-2023, we spoke with Matthew who immediately understood the importance of our vision. Our wedding was held at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, Ca. It started off as a friends and family screening of a short film (the Bride was the director, the Groom was a crew member). Then, during the post-film Q&A, we revealed to our guests that we were getting married right then and there in the theater. Not only did PU coordinate a film screening complete with red carpet, step & repeat photos, food, drink, DJ and more, but they helped transition into a full wedding ceremony. Meshawn ran point on everything: rehearsal, procession, recession, cake, etc. Stellar team members, Angel and Rakisha, executed everything flawlessly. Angel acted as the special events coordinator, making sure our tech was on point (sound, picture, graphics, everything!) and she even made a reel for us to post on our socials. PU was up for the challenge of our 2-in-1 surprise wedding/film screening, and they rose to that challenge with much aplomb. For what we asked for, they could've up-charged us greatly. PU made us feel heard and seen throughout the process. We wanted our wedding to be a collaboration between BIPOC businesses and creators celebrating what we can achieve when we work together. Thanks to PU for what they promised, perfection.

I got to work the Yoko and Natalie this fall and was so impressed by the organization and careful planning of the wedding day for our couple. The communication was always clear and appropriate, mapping out all parts of the day and setting expectations for every vendor. On the wedding day the team was always around, looking for ways they could support me as the photographer but also the guests and the couple. Calmerin was the best investment we made for our wedding, hands down!!! Glennie and Ashton were incredible from the start to finish. We knew from the very first phone call that they were going to 100% on top of it, and we were right! The organization and detail of this team is top-notch. We hired them for Jade Package, which is similar to day-of-coordination (which is really more month-of), and was super important given our majority DIY wedding with 170 guests. Plus, Glennie and Ashton were such lovely, kind, and genuine people!! While the bulk of the details and communication was in the month leading up to our wedding, we had access to all of the planning docs as soon as we sent our deposit. The planning docs are AMAZING and so detailed, making us feel like we could transfer all of our knowledge/plans/thoughts to them. This was really important for us since we were doing the majority of the planning, and they executed phenomenally. We were also able to ask them for questions, such as a DJ recommendation. Glennie and Ashton were fantastic during the thorough venue walk-through, video calls, rehearsal with our wedding party, and on the day-of. We were able to drop off all of our wedding stuff (2 SUVs full) the morning of with set-up directions, and we showed up and it looked better than we had imagined/planned for! The tight set-up window from our venue was stressful, but Glennie and Ashton made sure everything was ready to go. They were so great at communicating with our vendors (we got many compliments!) They only texted us 1 small question the day-of, knowing that we were stressed and busy. They were AMAZING throughout the whole night, making sure we were on schedule and that we had everything we needed. We could go on and on about how amazing the team was and how happy we are that we worked with them. Best decision, book them before their calendars fill!

We hired Dina to be our wedding planner and it was the single best decision we made for our wedding. We called a few different vendors and Dina immediately stood out because she was the only one who was willing to actually give us a true consultation to ensure we were on the same page with what we wanted. She also didn't require us to pay her any money up front. In fact, she didn't request any money from us until maybe a month or two in? And even then, it was a minimal deposit. Point is, her vibe is that of someone who understands the stress of wedding planning for the bride and groom so she makes you feel like she wants to earn your trust and do everything right before she asks for your business. Leading up to the wedding, friends and family would ask us if we were stressed or ask us how the wedding planning was going. Our answer would always be, "you know what... we don't have anything to do lol." And that was the truth. Dina made the entire process come together so seamlessly for us, during a pandemic no less, when so many vendors were backed up. When we saw the venue in it's final form for the first time, our jaws dropped. Even to this day we love recalling comments from guests on how beautiful the venue was. During the actual wedding, she stayed the WHOLE night for us and even brought an assistant. Leading up to the wedding we were not expecting that! She helped to orchestrate the whole night between guest seating and working with restaurant staff. Simply put, Dina's communication was on point. Her work ethic blew us away. The way she found and discussed vendors with us made us completely trust her with the process of pulling our vision together. Her fees were criminal to the point we had to tip her almost 500 more just so we didn't feel like we were robbing her of her time and effort. We've already jumped at the opportunity to recommend her to friends/family that are embarking on their wedding planning journeys. I don't write many reviews, but had to for Dina. She will always have a special place in our memories and lives because she played such a huge role on our special day.

We found Cassandra on Zola and set up a meeting for partial planning services. It was a one and done conversation--we knew immediately that she was the right planner for us! Her clear communication, organization, and professionalism made her the obvious choice. We felt confident in relying on her expertise to bring our Fall-themed Tahoe wedding to life, and she did not disappoint. Cassandra is a true professional and expert at her craft -- For partial planning services, she provided a detailed month-by-month checklist complete with notes and recommendations to guide us in meeting our wedding deadlines. About six weeks before the wedding, she took over all aspects of the planning process. She is an experienced planner that has built out her own inventory of rentals (which was a big help so I didn't have to track those things down), and has a great knowledge base of reliable venues and vendors in the area to work with. A few of our vendors (my selections, not hers) were a challenge to wrangle, and I was relieved to be able to loop Cassandra into those conversations to get things back on track. She also brings a ton of creativity and first hand experience to the design process that I really valued. She built us a beautiful design board and iterated on it with us until we 100% loved it. She also did a great job of day of coordination and made sure we could be fully immersed in the day instead of sweating details. I'm still speechless when I think about our Wedding. It was one of the best days of our lives, and will be crystalized in my mind as a perfect day forever. We are immensely grateful to Cassandra for her outstanding work and thankful for the friendship we developed along the way. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Art in Motion!

At the beginning of wedding planning I was convinced we did not need a wedding coordinator, we had a tight budget, intimate guest list & I already had the "planning" portion basically together. Shaymah was extremely organized with a very chaotic wedding - chaos due to family drama, etc. While the chaos was stressful, Shaymah was very detailed and thorough with all of the wedding planning, including designing florals and signs completely on her own (great designer too!), and including last minute issues with guest count, etc. She's very sweet, kind and helpful and great to work with! From our first call through the week after our wedding, Nichole and her team provided us constant support, seamless logistics and research, and brought so much joy to the planning process. As our planner, Nichole listened, helped keep us focused on what we said was important to us, and was always five steps ahead with her proactivity and organization. And my goodness, did she bring our vision to life! Everything from it being colorful and vibrant to finding an ADA friendly venue to incorporating our dog and favorite beverage Spindrift to herding us all on the wedding day (no strong feat!). Last but not least, each person we interacted with was just kind and a good human being. I literally could not have gotten through my wedding without Kaci. She is absolutely fantastic. She is super organized, always cool as a cucumber, very experienced with all the moving pieces of event planning (which I absolutely was not), and just a truly wonderful human who my husband and I were delighted to have with us on our special day. It's so rare to find someone willing to do day-of wedding planning (instead of month-of or full service planning, which quickly becomes extremely costly and was more service than I wanted). I have heard it is difficult for coordinators to come in "day of" to a brand new venue, so they prefer to only offer more involved packages and/or only at venues they work with regularly. But Kaci crushed it at my venue (Brazilian Room in Berkeley) even though it was her first time there. She was extremely reasonably priced and honestly for the service we got, we easily would have paid 3x as much. Think no more and HIRE HER!

We reached back out to her and were so happy she and the venue were still available. She did so much to help make our wedding experience the best it could be and more. She is incredibly personable, reliable, responsive, and I felt so much more comfortable knowing we had her to help and guide us through on our wedding day.
