How much postage should I use when I mail my invitations?

Great question!

The US Post Office charges for postage based on the weight of the envelope and its contents. We've put together this helpful guide to the approximate weights of our invitations.

We highly recommend you stop by your local post office once you've put your invitations together to make sure you've got the correct amount of postage.

You can use the weight chart listed below to calculate how much postage is required using this helpful calculator. Keep in mind, the total postage used will also depend on the speed of shipping service level selected!

Single thick card stock

  • Invitation = 1oz or less
  • +RSVP w/ envelope = 1 oz or less
  • +details/reception = over 1 oz

Double thick card stock

  • Invitation = less than 1 oz
  • +RSVP w/ envelope = over 1 oz
  • +details/reception = over 1 oz

Triple thick card stock

  • Invitation = over 1 oz
  • +RSVP w/ envelope = over 1 oz
  • +details/reception = over 1 oz

Magnets

  • Save the date = 1.45 oz
  • +envelopes = less than 2 oz

Thank You & Holiday Cards

  • Cards = less than 1 oz
  • +envelopes = less than 1 oz
