The most despised word of 2020. Maybe of ever. So? What now? Fortunately, as of right now, air travel to Cancun is allowed. As a matter of fact, our travel agents just returned from Cancun in early July and let us know that everything from the airplanes to the Cancun airport and transportation to the resort are extremely clean. They are all taking extra precautions to maintain the health and safety of their customers. Resorts opened their doors again on July 1st. Our resort is only allowing a 30% capacity and has implemented various measures to keep all of their guests safe. I truly believe we are in good hands. To read more about these measures, feel free to visit the Dreams Vista Cancun website. We will make sure to keep guests updated as we get closer to November but as of now, our wedding will still take place on 11-13-2020. If you have any questions please reach out to us, we understand it is a strange time and we want our guests to feel as comfortable as possible.
We will have an online honeymoon fund/ wedding registry. Additional to that we are registered at the following stores: -Crate & Barrel -Zola -Sur La Table
https://www.yellowumbrellaevents.com/couples/sandi-and-joseph/
We will be sending out formal invitations. Once the invitations are mailed out, there will be an RSVP tab on this website- all RSVPs will be done online to make it as easy as possible on our guests.
Most of the restaurants at the resort have a dress code for dinner: “Dinner – Casual Elegance: Sneakers/tennis shoes or sandals and dress shirts with short sleeves or shirts are required. Long pants are required for men. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops allowed for men.” Also, cover-ups are required for most of the restaurants for lunch.
Yes. Here is a link on how to get that process started: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/apply-in-person.html
You should be receiving emails from Shea or Cheryl Bailey with Yellow Umbrella events to set up your resort stay/ transportation to and from the airport. Please check your junk mail/ these emails are not spam.
Absolutely. Please get with Shea at yellow umbrella events to set this up.
Download the app “Hopper” You can track flight price trends on here and it’ll alert you when it’s best time to buy your flight. (It is AWESOME) Note: Hopper does not show Southwest Airlines flights so if they are your preferred airline we suggest using their website to book. Google Flights is another great way to search for your flight. Cancun International Airport is the closest airport to the resort.
The answer is yes. However, they are primarily here to book your stay at the resort and transportation to and from the airport.
Transportation is included in the room rate. Please provide Yellow Umbrella Events with your flight information once booked so they can set up a private shuttle upon your arrival.

To avoid our guests having to haul any extra luggage while traveling to Mexico, we ask that any gifts be mailed to our home address in Texas. Our friends and family know we like to do things a little differently. Although we have a few traditional gifts on our registry, we decided an epic honeymoon was more suited to our taste and lifestyle so we made our honeymoon fund the focal point of our registry. If you’d like, please help send us along on a memorable trip to start our lives together. Thank you so much for keeping us in your minds and hearts—we’re so grateful for all of you!
To ensure our guests receive the lowest price possible, We have set up a room block at the resort. These incredible rates are only guaranteed through our travel agent.
These rooms include access to 2 additional lounges and an additional adults-only rooftop pool.
We will be hosting a welcome party on Thursday 11-12-2020 then our wedding is on Friday 11-13-2020. Please feel free to come before or stay a few days after the festivities. This is completely up to you, we would love our guests to be able to enjoy this beautiful place before & after our wedding. Joe & Sandi will be arriving on Wednesday 11-11-2020.

Cancun temps in November are typically in the highs of 84 degrees & lows of 70 degrees.
It will be an unplugged ceremony- however, we encourage our guests to take as many photos as they’d like at the welcome party, right after the ceremony on the palapa, cocktail hour, reception and the rest of the weekend! Please post with our hashtag #DontWorryBeHagen
Private transportation to and from the resort is included in the room rate. Shea Bailey with Yellow Umbrella events will ask for your flight information, he will schedule the car picking you up from the airport when you arrive in Cancun. You will need to schedule a time for your returning car to arrive at the resort to get you back to the airport for your departing flight. (This service is included in the cost, you are just responsible for scheduling your ride back based on your departing flight.) Please get with a local Mayaland representative upon arrival at the airport or you can schedule this with the concierge within 24 hours of arriving at the resort.
Due to the way our ceremony location is set up, we ask that our guests arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the ceremony start time.
Over the water on the Ocean Deck Palapa We will then move to the Grand Vista Terrace for the cocktail hour and reception.
