I've always been in love with love and I am truly so lucky I get to capture it as my job! I've been doing photography for 10 years now and weddings for 5. It brings me so much joy and I adore my couples. My couples tend to be sweet, laid-back, fun people who value what I do and trust my vision. Enough about me though, I can't wait to hear more about you!

I have always been obsessed with capturing love in all its rare and beautiful forms. I’m enamored by human connection. Of all the things on this planet I could point my camera at, love fascinates and excites me the most. There is a simple and mystical art in freezing a moment of connection between two people in love. I’m a natural storyteller, a born collaborator, and I thrive in preserving my clients’ most intimate moments and letting love speak for itself.

Passion is what drives me in photography and real people and real moments evoke that passion. I yearn to connect with people I work with on a personal level. My goal is to make everyone I work with as comfortable as possible. The less of me you see the better! I want the photo to be derived from real, true emotion. So emitting myself as much as possible helps keep the genuine spirit of you and the moment front and center. I'm a fine art destination wedding photographer; intensely passionate about preserving those fleeting moments, intimate details and loved ones throughout a wedding that make the day unforgettable. I married my now business partner and best friend of twelve years on a warm summer evening in August beneath two immense magnolia trees. We currently spend our time between an old farmhouse in the heart of wine and hunt country and Lake Norman with our dog Endo, two cats and two horses.

My interest in photography began at age 16 when my brother brought home a used Canon A1 from a pawn shop. My persistent attraction to the art of photography led me to the Savannah College of Art and Design where I received a BFA in Photography. I then ventured to Asheville, NC where I was surrounded by a creative community of artists and found a niche preserving timeless images of love-classics. Fast forward many years later, I now live in Washington D.C. which serves as my home base for my continuing adventures.

Born and raised in Maryland, I’m a creative wedding photographer. A lotta years back I jacked in my safe, noble, health insurance-providing job working with grieving families to follow a little dream I had. I wanted to take pictures. That means I live a completely outnumbered existence with two males in the house but don’t worry, I’m on top of it. My love for photography started in my early youth when I would visit my grandmother during summer vacations. She had about 3 to 4 wonderful family albums. My favorite albums were the ones where I saw gramma's old pictures taken in the early 1900’s. I would ask who those people were and she would tell me while including the stories behind the photos. What kid doesn’t like stories? Those family albums rapidly connected me with our family's history and the stories brought the photos to life. My great grandmother has a face, not just a name.
