We live to travel, see new places, meet new people, experience new things - as long as there is pizza and wine, of course! Our passion lies in capturing the moments - the inbetween ones you didn’t see coming. The ones that bring back the memory of exactly how you felt. We put every bit of ourselves into each image that we take. And with every session we find a new reason to fall in love, with love, all over again. Since 2016, I've been photographing weddings for the most amazing couples. My focus is not only to tell the story of the day, but to create the most awesome art for my clients. My goal is to make all of my couple's days run smoothly and as stress-free as a wedding can be. From helping create a photography timeline to helping work out the details, my clients not only hire me for my photography abilities but for my expertise when it come to a wedding day.

I'd say my photography style would be something along the lines of "lifestyle photography". [That means that posing you in silly ways that seem fake / awkward isn't really my jam.] I mean, unless that gets some snuggles & laughs. I'm ALLLL about that. I like to capture REAL life with REAL emotions and REAL smiles. Your session should be relaxed and fun. [All while I get some kick-ass photos!] I will most likely make a giant fool of myself at your session, so you'll feel like a professional. I sing, trip, laugh, make noises, mention inappropriate things, show my nerdiness. AKA YOU'RE GOING TO DO JUST FINE.

Nostalgia drove me into photography at an early age - and lead me into my studies of photojournalism. We know when we're at a critical juncture in our lives. You may even outwardly acknowledge it. For me, being able to authentically capture, to preserve those moments in a photograph is such a privilege. I know how much it means to me to be able to look back and say 'this is how things actually happened.' There is beauty in those truths. The kind of folks I work with share that appreciation.

My approach is observational and real, creating images that are genuine representations of you, those you love, and the space and moments you share. I'm a New Hampshire Wedding + Portrait photographer primarily serving the New England area. I started my photography career in 2013. As a photographer, I've become intimately acquainted with my clients which have lead to great relationships and even better friends. Photography is apart of my lifestyle. When I'm not behind my camera, I'm spending time with my High School Sweetheart, my beautiful daughter and two adorable Chocolate Labradors.

I want to capture it all on your big day. From the moments of you putting your dress to the tears running down your face as you read your vows to each other. To the first kiss and “OMG you’re my spouse now!!” feels. To the unexpected Taco Bell run you make after the ceremony or your grandparents getting down on the dance floor. Being able to grab the moments for you to hold to forever, is such a rewarding humbling job for me.

Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.
