Gardenwild Floral Design

5.0

Anchorage, AK
  • Starts at $1,700

Our mission is to help you create a beautiful and memorable event you and your guests will love. The work we do is wild and artful. All our floral pieces use local flowers & foliage you won’t find anywhere else (cause we grow them ourselves) and tried and true favorites from other Alaskan farmers and beyond.

Awarded Best of Zola
I didn't have a traditional color theme for my wedding, the only theme I had was wild flowers. I got married at a flower nursery and I knew I wanted a wild and romantic bouquet that looked effortless, like I had just gone into a field and picked a huge wild bouquet of Alaskan wild flowers. I knew this wasn't as easy as that and if I wanted my vision to come together I would need a florist that would be invested enough to capture what I only saw in my minds eye. Greta was amazing to work with! She asked for inspiration photos and what I liked in particular about each one I showed her. I was so in love with how the bouquet turned out, full of color and dimension and perfectly constructed to look whimsical and dreamy. She took a lot of stress out of a potentially stressful day.

I've had the pleasure of working with Dallas of Bloomsbury Blooms on many weddings and elopements and am always thrilled. She is not only a great person to be around, but is truly a master of her craft and has so much passion behind her work. She is thoughtful in where and how she sources flowers and greenery, and also grows and forages a lot of her own to add an Alaskan touch to it all. She combines elegance with whimsical and natural touches and it's just totally dreamy! Each one of her floral designs is unique, beautiful and thoughtfully created to suit each event and couple she works with and it's really awesome watching her work and add her own touch to it all. In addition to working events with her, I've also taken a few of her Workshops and it just further proves to me how skilled she is at what she does. It's so cool seeing how she approaches her work and is inspired by nature and the world around her. She's awesome and you won't be disappointed!!

    Honeybloom Floral Design

    5.0

    Anchorage, AK
    • Starts at $3,000
    • Serves Alaska

From an early age, I could often be found knee deep in mud & weeds. I spent my most memorable childhood summers exploring the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, gathering treasures under the shade of the oaks on my abuelita’s ranch. When I moved north to Alaska, my love for the natural world grew deeper still. I found myself out foraging food & flowers on our endless trails, returning home with basketfuls of lupine, fireweed, fern, & fritillaria. Designing floral vignettes became a creative outlet as I balanced a career working in nonprofits. I made the jump into full-time floral design 5 years ago & have never looked back!

Melissa was a absolute pleasure to work with! Very professional and gifted at her work. Very knowledgeable too. She took the time to get to know Regan and I to execute our vision perfectly. Using florals to match our color pallet and personality’s. Honeybloom sent us over the moon on our wedding day. You could notice that she took the time and care into each piece she put together using locally sourced florals from Alaska. We love that she supports small local farms. We HIGHLY recommend her for any celebration!!!

    Yarrow & Co.

    5.0

    Anchorage, AK
    • Starts at $1,500

As a born and raised Alaskan I have a deep love and respect for all things in nature. I grew up spending summers commercial fishing in Cook Inlet and foraging yarrow on the shores that I have the privilege to call home. My hope is to translate my love for adventure and the beautiful outdoors into my art by using foraged Alaskan blooms as well as locally sourced and grown florals as much as possible.

I found Yarrow & Co. on Instagram after a friend shared about Hannah's incredible talent with flowers. I IMMEDIATELY sent her a message and after receiving a prompt message back we scheduled a phone call to chat. I wanted touches of wild Alaskan flowers and plants to be incorporated, simple, natural colors, and I needed flowers for my dog to wear for the ceremony. Hannah's response to every request was "absolutely" or suggestions on how to make things better than my imagination could have ever dreamt up. Before I knew it an all encompassing proposal appeared in my email. It explained everything and summarized our conversations perfectly. I could tell she heard every word I said. She was transparent with pricing and logistics. Hannah is located in the Girdwood area but we were getting married in Valdez. She promised that if I had someone to pick up the flowers she would ensure they were safe and well prepared for the 6 hour drive. Every single bouquet, boutonniere, and dog flower collar arrived packaged, in water, and alive and well. They were GORGEOUS. I would pick Yarrow and Co. over and over again. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough. Alaska is lucky to have such a talented person to bring life to our most special moments with flowers!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

      Awarded Best of Zola
Please remember that its DIY flowers, your only buying bulk!!! Our wedding colours were navy and hot pink; we ordered dusty blue and cream "A la Cart" package and added White Ranunculus and Dark pink spray roses. We built: 5 bouts, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet and a flower crown. I still had a large bouquet left over and the pieces that fell off we used to shoot the close up details picture of the invites, rings, dress etc. we had to buy our own materials and we assembled them ourself but I was blown away with how easy it was, their customer service and the quality of products we received. We were a destination wedding coming from Canada to Las Vegas which made me worried but it was the easiest process and best decision we made!

      Awarded Best of Zola
Jen Angle of Wood & Word Blooms is truly a gem. These flowers are made of WOOD, yes wood flowers. She offers the ability to do a DIY bouquet party which is so unique to be able to say you made your bouquet! Unfortunately due to COVID my DIY party had to get cancelled but Jen was incredibly understanding and fit my order in to make it all herself; a bride bouquet, 6 bridesmaids bouquets, 7 boutonnières, 2 corsages, and a hair piece!! Working with her was so simple; I had a vision and she totally exceeded my expectations. She asks questions to truly grasp what you’re looking for and she provided a picture pdf list of flowers to choose from. She was so patient with me as I asked for help from her to pick flowers that would look good together. Jen made me feel confident in my choices and made sure that my bouquets were special; she even took the time to insert charms I provided her! I realized towards the end of wedding planning that because I was working with Jen, the flowers were one area I did not need to remotely stress about. I saw Jen’s work on her Instagram and knew she would create something extraordinary. Now my bridal party and I all have forever flowers! Finally, if you have any hesitation I highly suggest going to one of her classes! Before I booked Jen, I wanted to see what it would be like to work with her and knew immediately I could trust her through her professionalism, kindness, and humor! She holds awesome classes such as wreath making! Contact her sooner than later because she books up quick for a reason!

      The Faux Bouquets

      5.0

      Redlands, CA
      • Starts at $175
      • Serves Alaska

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

      Awarded Best of Zola
There have been so many stressful things about wedding planning, but the flowers with Faux Bouquets have been the least stressful. All I had to do was find some inspiration on Pinterest. After this, Brittany went to work and created my bouquet. We met over Google meets which was super easy, and she was so positive and kind. I told her that we changed some colors around in our color scheme and she went off camera, came back on and they were added to my bouquet. I think the most beautiful thing is that no matter how she mixed up my floral arrangement, it still was beautiful. After our phone call, I got a complete photo shoot of everything we ordered. Then in about 3 weeks, everything was shipped to my house. I do not have to worry about flowers dying, or flowers looking too fake (because they really look real) or even having to schedule a day to go pick them up. All I had to do was find pictures on Google and watch her do her magic over a 15-minute video call (if that long). If you are looking for something easy, stress-free, and beautiful, I would definitely use Faux Bouquets.

Katie was a breeze to work with! I am not big on real flowers and wanted something that would represent my husband and I. Her prices are comparable to real flowers and are even more lovely! I love that her flower designs mimic real flowers and that foliage was an option. She took the care to make sure I had what I wanted and sent me multiple pictures during the process and of the finished result before we picked them up for the wedding. She accepted my feedback and made changes to the bouquets to match my vision. I still have my bouquet and my husbands boutonniere as keepsakes that remind me of our special day. I would use her services again and again!

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs Flower Preservation

      5.0

      Harrisburg, PA
      • Starts at $250
      • Serves Alaska

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs is comprised of two friends, turned business partners. We worked together for several years planning events and weddings, so we have a shared love of sparkle, flowers, coffee, and making beautiful memories! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our growth as friends, mothers and confidants, than to combine our creativity and passions to create one of a kind items to brighten the days and lives of others. Our business, our products, and our partnership is all about balance, Contessa is the Sarcasm, Danielle is the Sunshine. Some days, we switch roles, but we think life is better with both!

Having my wedding flowers preserved was extremely important to me. To be able to keep something perfectly preserved that was so beautiful on my special day is unreal. Danielle is the kindest and easiest person to work with. She gets back to you within seconds and listens to any and every crazy request I had. Along with a tray, wine stopper, ornament, and book mark, Danielle was able to take part of my Mother’s wedding dress (that was wrapped around my bouquet) and preserve it in a jewelry box with my flowers. Let me tell you, the reaction my mom had on her face when I gave her that jewelry box was indescribable. If you are ever second guessing preserving your wedding flowers, this is your sign to do it. You won’t regret it! Sarcasm and Sunshine’s work is impeccable and I hope that others are able to have their flowers preserved with such care and precision as I was able to have mine.

      Monarch & Marigold Studio
      Dallas, TX

I'm a proud first-gen., Latina & Dallas native who finds joy in every facet of flowers. Growing up, my dad filled my childhood with gardening & my love for flowers sprouted there. In high school, I enrolled in Skyline's High School's floral design program in which my classmates & I learned floral designs basics + the business side of the flower industry. There, I would frequently compete against other high schools & received my Level 1 & 2 certifications by the TSFA. I founded La Fuente de Flores in 2019 & have rebranded as Monarch & Marigold Studio. I'm also a hobby flower grower so quite literally, I'm always surrounded by flowers.
