We got married in April 2022 and had a wonderful experience working with the team at Glasserie Events. They made the entire wedding planning process feel as stress-free as possible, guiding us through each stage from planning floor plans to picking menus to creating a beautiful ceremony. We knew we were in good hands from beginning to end! The team at Glasserie gave us clear options, action steps, and guidance as we made many decisions along the way. Our guests were amazed at how delicious the food and drinks were (not your average wedding caterer). The Glasserie team helped us create a magical evening that we will always remember. We couldn't have asked for a better event planning experience!

Lisa and Maritza at Renaissance Event Hall helped provide a wonderful venue for our March 2024 wedding. Lisa answered every question we had and was extremely helpful, collaborative, accommodating, and patient. We had multiple guests talk about how great the food was and the venue was able to pivot with whatever the day threw at us, including a crazy amount of rain. We would absolutely recommend Renaissance Event Hall to anyone who asked!

  • Starts at $15,000

Wythe Hotel is an industrial chic Brooklyn wedding venue on the waterfront of New York City’s creative epicenter, Williamsburg. Perfect for hotel weddings, the former factory has been fully renovated and its original character and charm serve as a wonderful backdrop to a Brooklyn wedding. The hotel boasts several sophisticated and romantic Brooklyn wedding halls for weddings of all shapes and sizes. Wythe Hotel is a Brooklyn Wedding venue with an atmosphere unlike any other, full of historic rustic industrial detailing. Our Williamsburg wedding venues are one of the most unique in NYC. All catering is provided by our in-house restaurant. We feature farm to table, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and provide restaurant quality meals and service in a banquet setting. All of the desserts, including the wedding cakes are made by our in-house pastry team.

I cannot say enough good things about my wedding at Wythe! The staff are so friendly and thoughtful. The event was so smooth. They have it all done! And yet, it was still an open canvas for us to make our own. The food was amazing. My guests raved about the food. Even my friend who has been to A LOT of weddings said it was the best wedding food she’s ever had. Service was wonderful. I asked for recommendations for photographer and day of coordinator and both were amazing! Wythe made planning for and the day of my wedding much easier than if I had gone with a venue with less experience.

Tribeca Rooftop

5.0

New York, NY
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $75,000

Tribeca Rooftopchic industrial event venue located in the trendy downtown neighborhood of Tribeca, New York City. Its 25ft ceilings, large windowed walls, and rooftop access offers a magnificent view of Manhattan as well as the Hudson River. Located on a cobblestone street in a 1920's printing press building, Tribeca Rooftop is perfect for creating a highly personalized atmosphere for your big day.

From the minute my fiance (now husband!) started looking at wedding venues, we knew we wanted something with a very NYC feel. Tribeca Rooftop was the second venue we looked at and we were sold. We cancelled all our other appointments and signed our contract for a June 2023 wedding. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, Donna was amazing to work with. I asked A LOT of questions and sent A LOT of emails and she always responded in a timely fashion and never made me feel as though I was being annoying (which I'm sure I was being haha). When it was about a month before our wedding, we were handed over to Andrew, who was equally incredible and helpful. On the day of our wedding, we worked with George as our attendant. George was the life of the party, always there to provide us with drinks when we were running low, and will always make sure your lipstick is on and people are where they need to be. George was THE BEST attendant we could have asked for, but I digress... The food: incredible- our cocktail hour was stunning and delicious. SO much food and everyone was raving about how delicious it alll was. The drinks: always flowing and made perfectly! Our bartenders were great and never had people waiting at the bar for their next round. The venue: I mean... STUNNING. Obviously. The staff: amazing! So kind, so helpful, helped really put us at ease throughout the whole process and helped keep our nerves calm on the day of our wedding. Overall: 20/10. Book your wedding here (and please invite us, we really want to be guests at a Tribeca Rooftop wedding)

Bryant Park Grill

5.0

New York, NY
  • Up to 220 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Experience the enchantment of your special day at Bryant Park Grill, nestled behind the iconic New York Public Library in the heart of Manhattan’s Bryant Park. Surrounded by majestic London Planetrees reminiscent of the famed Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, our sophisticated and romantic venue offers three distinct areas—the Rooftop Terrace, the Garden, and the Grill Dining Room—that promise an unforgettable setting for your wedding celebration. Capture timeless moments against the backdrop of the classical French carousel, the majestic New York Public Library, and beautiful Bryant Park. With endless opportunities for stunning photos, your wedding day will be beautifully immortalized in every frame. Our highly experienced team of dedicated planners is committed to ensuring that every detail of your wedding is nothing short of perfection. Let us turn your wedding dreams into cherished memories at Bryant Park Grill.

As an AV vendor, we work all over the city in many different types of venues. Like many restaurants, the Bryant Park Grill doesn't have any technology built in to it, which of course means we're often asked to bring in more equipment than in some purpose-built spaces, but that actually makes it somewhat of a blank canvas that can create excellent events. In some spaces like this, the staff and events teams can be difficult to work with, not wanting to allow anything they haven't seen before, but the team at BPG is extremely accommodating. They of course have to protect the restaurant, but are always interested in helping figure out the best solution to make the client's event go the way they want it. This carries all the way through from the people who work to plan the events to the people who are on site executing the events. We've developed a great relationship with everyone there over time, and are proud to be able to provide services for a large number of events every year.

The Sanctuary RI

3.8

New York, NY
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

The Sanctuary is a beautiful and iconic wedding venue on the East River in New York City. It includes more than 16,000 square feet of event space and affords spectacular views of Manhattan. The property has several magnificent event spaces. The Sanctuary was formerly a church near The Octagon, a historic octagonal building on Roosevelt Island, now on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the Sanctuary's original stained glass windows and locally quarried granite combine with more modern features, including a sweeping 40-foot ceiling and 30-foot marble bar, to create an effect that's nothing short of marvelous. The Sanctuary opens onto a covered veranda, complete with lounge seating and an Instagram-ready mural of Roosevelt Island. Beyond this lies the 4,000-square-foot Terrace, a beautiful reception space that can seat over 250 guests. Other notable event areas include the lovely front-yard Patio, the tranquil VIP Courtyard, and the fully renovated three-bedroom stone House

Our wedding at the Sanctuary was picture perfect - from the view to the food to the accommodating and helpful staff, we literally could not have asked for more as we celebrated our beautiful day. The site is HUGE and has a lovely view of the East River/upper Manhattan, especially as the sun sets (we got AMAZING pictures!) We loved everything ... the ambiance of being in a historic building (it's a converted church with original stained glass windows!), the delicious food, especially from the wood-fired pizza oven, and the wonderful staff who took such good care of us and our guests. I really cannot recommend The Sanctuary enough. Such a gem - you don't find sites like this in NYC!

After canceling our big celebration due to the pandemic, we turned to Bottino to plan a ~25 person wedding in under a month. Danny, Anthony, and their whole team were incredible. They were so accommodating and flexible (as plans continued to evolve up to the evening before!). We had the ceremony, cocktails, and a delicious dinner in their beautiful back garden, and they managed to turn the space over in record time, prioritizing everybody's safety, without disrupting the festivities. The staff were exceedingly wonderful and kind, and they ensured the event went off without a hitch. Cannot recommend Bottino enough!

Our marketplace provides detailed information, stunning photos, and real couples' reviews to help you make an informed decision. Trust your instincts, and when you find that venue that gives you butterflies, you'll know it's the one.

What questions should I ask when booking a venue in New York, NY?

It all depends on what you're looking for, but you may want to consider things like whether the venue has an on-site bridal suite (25% in New York do) or whether the venue provides an event coordinator (37% in New York do!).

Additionally, some venues work with certain caterers and require a minimum food and beverage spend in addition to the space rentals. Others might have a recommended list of preferred caterers that they'd like you to work with.

When is the best month for a wedding in New York City?

This is one of those questions that everyone will have a different answer to. The best time to get married in NYC really depends on your vision for your wedding. Is it when Central Park is a wonderland of cherry blossoms, or when the holiday lights make everything twinkle like a rom-com set? Weather-wise, May and June are your best bets for an outdoor wedding. But if you’re dreaming of an "Autumn in New York" aesthetic, aim for September or October when the air is crisp, and your guests won’t be sweating. But let's keep it real – in the city that never sleeps, love doesn't have an off-season, and neither do fabulous weddings. Winter nuptials? You could end up with a magical snowy vibe, and you’ll probably save some money. So ultimately, you can’t go wrong.

How far in advance do I need to book a wedding venue in New York City?

In the fast-paced whirlwind that is NYC, wedding venues can be booked up pretty far in advance. It's a good rule of thumb to start your venue hunt as soon as your engagement bliss begins to settle—usually around 12 to 18 months in advance, and to actually book your venue closer to 9-14 months in advance. If you've set your heart on those prime dates or sought-after spots, earlier is definitely better. Think of it as your very own New York minute—the sooner you act, the more options you'll have. But if you're the spontaneous type or planning on a shorter engagement, don't fret! Flexibility on dates or considering unique or off-the-beaten-path venues can turn up some hidden gems, even at the last minute.

Our marketplace showcases a range of venues and other vendors with different price points, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Is a New York City wedding on a budget possible?

Absolutely! Despite the high average price tag, an NYC wedding doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. There are many ways to cut costs, including booking an off day, time, or season, choosing less traditional venues, DIY-ing where you can, and limiting your guest list. Check out our guide to planning a wedding on a budget for more ideas.

What’s included in a wedding package in NYC?

If you're looking to simplify your wedding planning journey (and who isn't?), opting for an all-inclusive venue with a full wedding package may be a good choice. So, what's typically included? You’ll usually find the venue itself, catering, tables, chairs and linens, and often a dance floor where you and your guests can boogie the night away. And let's not forget the staff! Many packages provide a team of wait staff, bartenders, and on-site coordinators to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. But just like your love story, each package is unique, so be sure to ask our vendors about their special touches that make a wedding not just memorable, but unmistakably yours.
