Some love stories begin with fireworks; some find us in the middle of ordinary life and the rest of the story unfolds to be anything but ordinary. Ours began at the hospital, working together on the inpatient psychiatry unit, over a round of margaritas at our annual work holiday party. Joe will tell you our story began when he came to the annual work holiday party and asked Krista out for drinks, already confident she couldn't resist his life-of-the-party energy, his humor and his sweet smile. Krista will tell you about a series of strategically dropped hints and flirting to build Joe’s confidence over a few months at work, leading up to the same unforgettable work party. The truth lies somewhere in the middle, but there's one thing we both agree on - from the very beginning, being together felt easy. Our love has grown through the quiet moments as much as the big ones — hours spent on the patio talking about our dreams for the future, spontaneous adventures, lots of laughter, and standing beside each other through loss, grief and life’s day to day challenges. We’ve built a relationship rooted in friendship, trust, shared joy and, above all, a love that feels like home. Now, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife! Our wedding is a celebration of our love and commitment to the foundation we’ve built and to the future we’re building together. It is also a celebration of the love that raised us, shaped us and sharpened us to become the individuals we are today, and in turn helped pave our journeys to one another.
