We can't wait to celebrate our love!

Maria and Sam met on a dating app on 8.7.2023 and immediately hit it off. They bonded over their current obsession of Noah Kahan’s music. Despite countless hours spent texting and sending voice messages back and forth to strengthen this bond, Sam was stubborn and did not agree to go on a date with Maria until December. Maria finally convinced Sam to drive around looking at Christmas lights on 12.28.2023 (this was supposed to happen before Christmas, but Sam got sick and rescheduled). Sam showed up on Maria's porch with a bouquet of flowers, and Maria had a basket of Sam's favorite snacks and treats waiting in the car. After driving around to see the lights at Falls Park, talking, and listening to music, Maria and Sam grabbed Chinese food and took it back to Maria's house to watch a movie. Maria began regularly inviting Sam over for dinner after work, and on 2.14.2024, Sam got the courage to ask Maria to become "official". One month later, on 3.14.2024, Maria met Sam's fur kids, Pants and Emmy, and Sam and Maria became inseparable. On 7.27.2024, Sam, Pants, and Emmy moved into Maria's house, bringing a little bit of chaos into a previously calm home. Their relationship grew stronger as time went on. They had countless movie nights, game nights with family and friends, dinners at their favorite Mexican restaurant Inca, and painting date nights. Maria would keep Sam company (and offer opinions/suggestions) through various crochet projects. Sam would assist Maria in completing jigsaw puzzles. Gaming and playing with the fur babies continues to be favorite pastimes of the couple, with Maria getting Sam hooked on Mario games and Sam introducing Maria to The Sims. As the family became more solidified, Sam and Maria began discussing the bigger picture and life hopes and dreams. Both knew they wanted to propose. After a tri-state scavenger hunt, Maria proposed on 5.31.2025. The scene was set at home with a piano version of their song, Go On Then Love in the background. About a month later, Sam planned a day full of adventurous activities, which included bowling, (Sam accidentally) getting lost in rural SD, ceramic painting, and the butterfly house. The proposal happened at their favorite romantic restaurant, Roam, on 6.21.2025. Originally, a long engagement was planned, with a proposed wedding date of 10.20.2030. However, after attending weddings of friends and Sam's brother, Sam and Maria decided to speed up the process a bit. They fell in love with their venue (Mosaic) and excitedly began planning a party to celebrate their love!
