Unknowingly, Cooper & Emma’s lives have always been subtly intertwined. Both sets of parents met at the University of Kentucky in the 80s, and they kept in touch through social media over the years. Over the Spring of 2000, Emma’s mom visited some friends in Jacksonville, where she met Cooper as a newborn. When Cooper was in the hospital as a kid, Emma’s family prayed for his recovery at Thanksgiving dinner. When the couple finally met at college orientation, Cooper & Emma barely spoke—they had no idea how much they would one day mean to each other. Over Parents’ Weekend in Fall of 2018, their families joined to tailgate a Kentucky football game, which became a yearly tradition throughout their time in Lexington. Suddenly, Emma & Cooper were inseparable. During their first year at school, they attended every date party and mixer together, still insisting to their mothers that they were “just friends.” They began officially dating in 2019, and have been together since. After graduation, Cooper & Emma both accepted jobs in Cincinnati and made the decision to move into their first apartment together. They have since rescued the most perfect (& most spoiled) cat in the world, Honey. In late August of 2024, Cooper & Emma headed off to their highly anticipated vacation in France, spending time sipping wine in Bordeaux, relaxing on the beaches of Nice, and exploring the streets of Paris. It was on September 3rd, 2024 that Cooper asked Emma to spend the rest of her life with him, to which she wholeheartedly said yes. They could not be more excited to celebrate their love with all of their closest friends & family.
