What is the venue like.

Answer

Brookside Gardens is a 50-acre public display garden within Wheaton Regional Park. It includes various outdoor and some indoor wedding spaces for couples who wish to tie the knot in a beautiful nature setting. Features of the garden include an aquatic park with ponds and a gazebo, an azalea garden, a butterfly garden, and a fragrance garden. It also has a Japanese tea house, a nature, children’s garden, and a woodland walk.

Where do I park?

Brookside Gardens has a visitor parking lot for our wedding guests outside of the Visitor Center, which is located at 1800 Glenallen Avenue, Wheaton, MD 20902. There will be signage and assistance directing you to the wedding ceremony.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be held outdoors. If needed due to weather, our event can be held in an indoor event space in the Visitor Center that has an expansive view to the outdoors and azalea and aquatic gardens

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 5:00 pm. We suggest you plan to arrive at 4:30 so that you have plenty of time to park and walk the short distance to the outdoor wedding ceremony. Golf cart service to the ceremony will be available for guests who need it.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is encouraged. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates.
