Our First Date
When Michael first met Yarden at a club meeting during his junior year at Penn (her sophomore year), he couldn’t resist asking her out. Despite the initial challenge of Yarden’s busy schedule—she just had to fit in some swing dancing before their date at his friend’s album release party—they soon hit it off, playing pinball and dancing together. The next morning, Yarden excitedly shared with her roommates, “This is going to be a serious one."
And the Rest Is History...
Two months after that first date, on Yarden’s birthday, she said "I love you" and Michael reciprocated. Their journey has been an adventure, completing their bachelor's degrees, enduring separation during the pandemic, and persevering through three years of long-distance as Michael pursues his law degree in Philly and Yarden immerses herself in doctoral research in New York. ~ We can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter with you!

What should I wear?
Answer
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. We chose a barn venue for its fun, relaxed vibe and we welcome colorful outfits! Since some of the festivities will be held in the grass, we advise against wearing stiletto heels.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our cocktail hour and ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting), and our reception will be in the barn.

Where should I stay?
Answer
There are many hotels a 15-20 min drive from the venue. For your convenience, we reserved hotel room blocks for the weekend at Hyatt Place Mt. Laurel, Hampton Inn Mt. Laurel, and Aloft Mt. Laurel (more info can be found on the Travel tab!). There are also Airbnbs and a few B&Bs in the area.

If I’m in the countryside for Labor Day weekend…

…yep, we were thinking that, too—might as well make a weekend out of it! We hope to plan in an activity or two, like a farm visit or a hike, to enjoy our time together the day before/after the wedding. Stay tuned!
