A Teacher Love Story

East Meets West, Love Blossoms Best

Emiliano and Victoria, both passionate teachers, crossed paths virtually through Zoom in the year 2021 at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy, unaware of the remarkable journey that awaited them. In 2022, fate intervened, and their virtual acquaintance flourished into a tangible reality. Emiliano, an intervention teacher, began working with students in Victoria's class, bringing them closer with every passing day. As November unfolded, Emiliano and Victoria realized a shared spiritual connection through the teachings of the Self-Realization Fellowship. The realization of their harmonious beliefs deepened their connection, filling their hearts with a shared purpose. Their first official date took place at a charming spot called Cafe de Olla in Burbank. The warmth of their conversation and the chemistry they shared left them longing for more. On their third date, the couple found themselves in the cozy embrace of Underdogs Basement Pub in Glendale. It was there that they expressed their deep affection for each other. Their fourth date was a magical evening at Venice Beach. As the waves crashed against the shore, Emiliano and Victoria shared their first kiss, sealing their connection with an indescribable sweetness. Their love journey took an unexpected turn during their first trip together to San Francisco for New Year's. During their trip, both Emiliano and Victoria contracted COVID-19, and they found themselves quarantined for nearly two weeks in Oxnard. Despite the challenging circumstances, they found solace in each other's company, cherishing the silver lining that they were going through it together. In July 2022, a new addition entered their lives—Shortie, an adorable furry companion who filled their home with boundless joy and unconditional love. Shortie became an emblem of their commitment and a constant reminder of the beautiful life they were building together. By August of the same year, Emiliano and Victoria decided to move in together in Glendale. That school year, Emiliano found himself teaching fifth grade, while Victoria dedicated herself to nurturing the minds of sixth-grade students. Their shared sense of adventure, financial aspirations, and professional growth led them to apply for teaching positions in China. The serendipity continued, and in October, they received an offer from the prestigious Shanghai American School. With hearts brimming with excitement and anticipation, they embraced the opportunity and committed to two years of teaching in a foreign land. Just a few months later, on a joyous summer day, surrounded by their loved ones, Emiliano orchestrated a going-away party to commemorate their new chapter. As the laughter and love filled the air, Emiliano knelt down on one knee, his heart overflowing with love, and asked Victoria the most important question of his life. Through fits of joyous giggles, Victoria, her eyes shining with happiness, exclaimed a resounding "yes!" And so, on that beautiful day, July 22, their love story reached a milestone, intertwining their lives forever.
