Joselyn and I are close cousin although we didn’t really find out until 6th grade. Our mothers always tried to make us talk to each other and we wouldn’t. Shortly after, we became close friends and almost inseparable. When you saw one of us, you saw the other one. Now, we have some stories about each other that I dare not to enclose. Lol. Joselyn is my “right hand parter.”

Sharay is Van’s sister; but, acts like we are real sisters. There is never a dull moment with this photogenic woman. We talk on the phone, joke around, and argue like we have known each other for a lifetime. Our relationship is like no other. She knows how to brighten up any room with her sense of humor. I truly value our relationship!

Shayla is Van’s oldest sister. Initially I thought she was bossy and didn’t know how well we would get alone. After getting to know her, I realized we had a lot of similarities such as our smart mouths, creative hands, playfulness, and pleasure to be around. She is naturally funny and has a heart of gold. I love the unique relationship we have established.

Nickkia and I met is 2012 while we were joining the BEST sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She was my back and we had a love/hate relationship while on line together. I had to find a way to tolerate the “disgusting thing” she would do that later I found out she couldn’t control. At that point, we became super close. She is my road trip sista! When you saw one of us, you saw the other. She is that ride or die friend, that friend you can call on for anything, that friend who loves to have fun and loves to travel literally ANYWHERE.

Randecia "Andy" is the bride’s niece. To know Andy is to love Andy. Now, this girl and I have some memories and conversations that I will never FORGET. Khaliyah and I met while we were pledging Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in 2012. We always had a good relationship while pledging; and it has grown even stronger since then. Khaliyah is that friend I can call to tell her what I need to do and she will take the initiative to do it without being asked. She is one that keeps me laughing especially when she tries to mock my accent. Khaliyah is one of a kind and I cherish every bit of her.

Ciera is my niece; but, we were raised like sisters. She is a few months older than me, but she knows that Aunte Kole will still pull that belt out 😂. Ciera has a heart of gold and will give you the shirt off her back. She is a humble individual but don't get on her bad side. She loves to party and brings the fun to every event. It is never a dull moment when Ciera is around.

Tameika is my 2nd oldest sister; but, she acts like she is the oldest. However, I constantly remind her that "I AM THE BOSS." Tameika has a great influence on me when it comes to the realm of education. The passion she has for her career and her students is remarkable. She loves to celebrate/dress up for EVERY holiday in the world, even the ones you never heard of 😂. And to mention she does it with PRIDE and STYLE!!!

We bump heads sometimes cause we are both bossy and just like our daddy; but it is all out of love. My sister has always been firm but loves to have a good time. She is literally the life of the party with her natural sense of humor.
