Bre’s Version: I was a teacher in Sumter County and Van would come to my job almost everyday after school around the same time to pick up his best friend, Angel. As he walked to her classroom, he would LITERALLY STOP in front of my door, smile, and then speak. After a couple visits, I started to feel uncomfortable with him speaking to me because I thought he was Angel’s boyfriend. So to avoid any confusion with her, I relocated in my classroom to be out of sight when he came to pick her up. Well, changing my location did not stop him from making his presence known. He gained the courage to peep into my room to see if I was in there so he could speak. I asked myself “Is this man STALKING me? Does he go into everyone’s room leading up to Angel’s room to speak to them?” Angel and I soon started to build our own bond with each other and she asked me if I had a boyfriend. I replied “not really, but I was talking to a person.” I asked her if the guy that comes to pick her up was her boyfriend Her response was, “GIRL NO, that’s my brother!” At that point, it started to make sense why he wanted me to notice him (LOL). Yet and still, she never told me he was interested in me. Days passed and he stayed consistent with his behavior. During a Parent Night, he decided to show up and sat at the table with us. I could tell he wanted to have a conversation; however, I could also tell he was shy. So, I decided to make it a little easier for him by telling a JOKE to one of my colleagues and said that Van was the one who said it. That same night Angel texted me and said: “A young nigga is interested in you,” and proceeded to give me his number. I told her to give him my number if he’s so interested. Well, that night we texted and I told him we could be friends because I was trying to rekindle a relationship with another person. Needless to say, Van was very consistent. After a few months, I decided to make it official on February 14, 2015 and that’s the story of our beautiful beginning!!! Van's Version: I first met Kabreshia at Staley Middle School. Coincidentally enough, her classroom was right across from my best friend's classroom so I would see her frequently at the end of the day when I picked my best friend up from work. I quickly became interested but didn't quite know how to strike up a conversation. I did, however, want her to notice me so I would make it my mission everyday to speak to (not STALK!) her as I passed by her classroom. Unbeknownst to me, she did notice me but didn't know if I was single or not because she assumed I was with my best friend. My best friend later informed her that we weren't together and that I was interested in her. Shortly after, during a Parent Night at Staley, she broke the ice between us by LYING on me to one of her co-workers, a move that got us to joking with each other. Later that night, I got her number from my best friend and the rest is history!

Maid of Honor
Vontessa aka “Kendall” and I met during the start our teaching career in Sumter County and shared so many things in common from our desires, beliefs, personal ways, passion for teaching, style of teaching, and so much more. Before we knew it, we were finishing each other sentences. She is one of a kind and I love her for just being her. She is literally my twin, my sister, my Soror, and my best-friend!
Matron of Honor
Asha has been apart of my life for quite sometime now. Yes, she is my brother’s wife; but she is so much more to me than a “sister-n-love”. I can always count on her and she delivers EVERY-TIME.
Bridesmaid
Joselyn and I are close cousin although we didn’t really find out until 6th grade. Our mothers always tried to make us talk to each other and we wouldn’t. Shortly after, we became close friends and almost inseparable. When you saw one of us, you saw the other one. Now, we have some stories about each other that I dare not to enclose. Lol. Joselyn is my “right hand parter.”
Bridesmaid
Sharay is Van’s sister; but, acts like we are real sisters. There is never a dull moment with this photogenic woman. We talk on the phone, joke around, and argue like we have known each other for a lifetime. Our relationship is like no other. She knows how to brighten up any room with her sense of humor. I truly value our relationship!
Bridesmaid
Shayla is Van’s oldest sister. Initially I thought she was bossy and didn’t know how well we would get alone. After getting to know her, I realized we had a lot of similarities such as our smart mouths, creative hands, playfulness, and pleasure to be around. She is naturally funny and has a heart of gold. I love the unique relationship we have established.
Bridesmaid
Nickkia and I met is 2012 while we were joining the BEST sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She was my back and we had a love/hate relationship while on line together. I had to find a way to tolerate the “disgusting thing” she would do that later I found out she couldn’t control. At that point, we became super close. She is my road trip sista! When you saw one of us, you saw the other. She is that ride or die friend, that friend you can call on for anything, that friend who loves to have fun and loves to travel literally ANYWHERE.
Bridesmaid
Randecia "Andy" is the bride’s niece. To know Andy is to love Andy. Now, this girl and I have some memories and conversations that I will never FORGET. She is an amazing person who will do whatever for the ones she loves. She is always supporting the people in her corner. She is truly a rare jewel.
Bridesmaid
Khaliyah and I met while we were pledging Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in 2012. We always had a good relationship while pledging; and it has grown even stronger since then. Khaliyah is that friend I can call to tell her what I need to do and she will take the initiative to do it without being asked. She is one that keeps me laughing especially when she tries to mock my accent. Khaliyah is one of a kind and I cherish every bit of her.
Bridesmaid
Ciera is my niece; but, we were raised like sisters. She is a few months older than me, but she knows that Aunte Kole will still pull that belt out 😂. Ciera has a heart of gold and will give you the shirt off her back. She is a humble individual but don't get on her bad side. She loves to party and brings the fun to every event. It is never a dull moment when Ciera is around.
Bridesmaid
Tameika is my 2nd oldest sister; but, she acts like she is the oldest. However, I constantly remind her that "I AM THE BOSS." Tameika has a great influence on me when it comes to the realm of education. The passion she has for her career and her students is remarkable. She loves to celebrate/dress up for EVERY holiday in the world, even the ones you never heard of 😂. And to mention she does it with PRIDE and STYLE!!!
Bridesmaid
Fredericka is my oldest sister and she makes sure EVERYONE knows that, “I’m Henry’s oldest child”. Fred has always tried to be the boss of me. We bump heads sometimes cause we are both bossy and just like our daddy; but it is all out of love. My sister has always been firm but loves to have a good time. She is literally the life of the party with her natural sense of humor.
Best Woman
"The Best Friend of the Groom." Honestly, after 10+ years of friendship, Angel is more like a sister to me than a friend. We've experience both good and bad times in each other's lives, and I couldn't think of anyone else I'd rather have as my Best Woman than her!
Groomsman
"Gail's Favorite" as Bre likes to call him! From day one, I've seen the love he's given not only to Bre, but to his entire family and that has made me respect him so much more. I couldn't imagine marrying Bre without having "Bro in law" right there for the ride!!!
Groomsman
"My Baby Brother!" Even though we might not have grown up in the same household with one another, my love for Von couldn't be stronger! We share the same humor and goofy nature (thanks Dad!) and I am honored to not only have him in my life but to also have him stand by my side when I say "I Do."
Groomsman
"The Second Oldest Rumph Son." From day one, I knew that DaShawn was a stand-up guy who loves his family with all his heart. Possibly the calmest of the Rumph siblings (LOL), I would say that he's been nothing but welcoming to me and that is why it was a no-brainer for me to ask him to be a Groomsman on our special day!
Groomsman
"Little Henry" (As Bre calls him)! I have never seen two siblings argue and laugh with each other in the same breath as I have when he and Bre are around each other. He has a lot of respect for the future union between his sister and myself, which is why I am truly honored to have him as a Groomsman!
Groomsman
"My Brother In Law." I first really connected with him when he and my little sister began dating and, from that moment on, we've formed our own bond. He's just as nerdy as I am, is probably one of the smartest guys I know, and is always willing to put up with my shenanigans on family trips! I couldn't possibly take this next step in life without him as a groomsman!
Groomsman
"Foster" as he is called by Bre and me! Since day 1, Foster has been a close friend to Bre and, as time has gone by, he's also become my friend. Even though we have a fraternal bond (YO!!!), our connection goes beyond us being members of the same fraternity. He's my brother, both in the bond and in life, and I'm happy to have him there on our big day as a groomsman!
Groomsman
"Bre's Male Best Friend!" There's not a single conversation between us where trash talking and laughter isn't involved. As the other Gemini man in Bre's life, I know that he's been a big supporter in the union between Bre and me, and that makes me appreciative of him. I couldn't take this next step without him as a groomsman!
Groomsman
"Cousin Dom." Having met only a few years ago, I can say that he and I share many similarities, especially the Troupe love of TU!!! Any time we link up, it's truly a celebration. You truly would think that we all grew up with each other just by how well we all mesh as cousins, and I couldn't do this next step of life without him by my side!
Ring Security
"My Big Man!" As my oldest nephew (even if it's by one month), I can't remember life without him! He's brought so much joy into my life and it has been a pleasure to see him grow into the handsome young man he is today! Although he is shy and quiet at first, it doesn't take much time for him to show that goofy side that I know he got from me!
Ring Bearer
Malachi better know as Mal is the bride’s nephew! He is a sweet, energetic little boy that loves to do everything outside from playing football, riding his dirt bike, climbing tress and cooking on the grill. He may appear to be shy at first; but it doesn’t take long for those deep dimples to show as he starts talking.
Flower Girl
Hannah is the bride’s niece. She is such a smart and talkative little girl with so much humor. She reminds me of a little old lady with her old soul. She warms up to everyone that she encounters.
Flower Girl
Kenzie and Kenna are the bride’s twin nieces. These little girls are unique in their own ways with so much personality that will keep you laughing. These energetic twins love to be around family and to play outside.
Bride Announcer
Caitlyn is the bride’s god-daughter. She is so adorable and brilliant. She is a shy little girl with few words for people she doesn’t know. She loves animals and insist that I own a dog although she knows I am afraid of animals.
Mother of the Bride
