Who should I contact if I questions or need to get in contact with the couple?

If you have questions up until the wedding day, the couple is more than happy to discuss with you! If you have a non-urgent question, please email them at vamosimarker@outlook.com. Day of the wedding, please contact the parents of the couple, someone in the bridal party, or their wedding coordinator, Taylor Carr. We are not providing phone numbers here since this is a public website, but if you would like anyone's contact information, please reach out to the couple. Additionally, you can call the Sherwood Inn - (315) 685-3405 - and they can get you in contact with any of these people.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. We encourage our guests to consider incorporating our chosen color scheme of gold, black, and greens into their attire for our wedding.

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

Unfortunately, no we do not have a shuttle but the area is very walkable if you are in Skaneateles and Uber/Lyft is available in the area.

The average temperature is expected to be 75 degrees on September 14th.

Is the wedding Indoors or Outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will be indoors.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 2:30 PM and enter through the front doors of the church. Due to the set up of the church, we will not be allowing guests to enter the church once the bride has arrived at 2:45 PM until after the processional has ended. Once the processional has ended, the couple is happy to have you join the ceremony. The front doors of the church are the best place to "sneak in." If you come in the side door of the church, the only way to enter is at the front of the sanctuary.

Is there parking at the ceremony and recpetion?

Answer

Yes, both locations have plenty of parking. At the Sherwood Inn, the parking lot is behind the Inn.

What should we do between the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Answer

There will be one hour between the ceremony and cocktail hour. We highly encourage you to enjoy the lake and the Town of Skaneateles during this time. If you arrive to the Sherwood Inn before 5:00 pm, there is a restaurant and bar in the hotel that you can enjoy until the start of cocktail hour.

What should I do if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Any dietary restrictions noted on the RSVP have been communicated with the Sherwood Inn. On your name card, you will notice a gold ribbon to make sure the wait staff get your specific meal to you and alerts them to an allergy. If you have specific questions or concerns regarding your meal, please let your waiter know and they can help ensure you have a safe and delicious meal.

Is there anything specific the couple will be asking guests to do at the Reception?

Answer

Yes! At the welcome table, the couple will have cards for guests to fill out for you to share an idea, plan, or adventure for them to complete in their life together. Help them make their "Bucket List" by sharing your favorite vacation spot, best date night idea, life milestone, or tradition. Extra Credit: Include why this idea is special to you! Example: "Travel to Rocky Mountain National Park - This is where we went on our honeymoon in 1982!"

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The Sherwood Inn has a room block available. Auburn is about 10 minutes away and has multiple hotels including the Holiday Inn Auburn and Hilton Garden Inn Auburn. The area also has many Bed & Breakfasts available!

Will the bride by changing her name?

Answer

Yes and No. For professional reasons, the bride has chosen to legally maintain her maiden name. Outside of work, the bride plan to go by Mrs. Marker. Feel free to refer to the couple as Mr. & Mrs. Marker!
