LAX International Airport

LAX is the largest in the area. Santa Barbara is just under two hours from LAX by car/bus. There is a shuttle from LAX to Santa Barbara called, Airbus. Airbus runs regularly between the two destinations. Airbus rides should be booked ahead of time. There are also several rental car options out of LAX.

Train

This is a shuttle bus from LAX, not a train. The shuttle bus picks you up at LAX and takes about two hours and thirty minutes to arrive in Santa Barbara. The shuttle schedules can be found on the website. Discounts are offered for prepaid and group ticket sales.

AMTRAK Pacific Surfliner

If you prefer to not rent a car but want to fly into LAX or Burbank International, Amtrak is a great option. The ride from Union Station in Los Angeles to Amtrak Station in Santa Barbara is approximately three hours.
