Frederick Senya and Domonique Wilson’s love story began in the summer of 2023, when they both found themselves on a Christian dating and social media platform called “Holy.” When they matched, neither were sure where things could go, but there was hope of a possible friendship that could grow. Frederick’s first messages to Domonique immediately made her laugh. He was clever, funny and lighthearted which really set the tone for a fun and genuine connection. That spark quickly grew into something more. Soon after, they had their first spontaneous FaceTime call, and it was clear to both of them that a real connection was forming. Frederick's openness, intentionality, and intelligence captivated Domonique, but it was his deep and evident love for the Lord that truly won her over. Their conversations flowed effortlessly, and they found themselves connecting on a spiritual and intellectual level that was exciting to both of them. Before long, they were talking on the phone every single day, learning new things about each other and deepening their bond over impromptu worship sessions, virtual game nights, movie dates and more. After almost five months of getting to know each other, they decided it was finally time to meet face-to-face. Frederick made the trip to Philadelphia at the very end of October, where they enjoyed a memorable first date. They explored downtown Philly, climbed the famous Rocky steps at the art museum, and savored delicious African cuisine. The following day, they had an unforgettable time at Shadybrook Farms’ pumpkin patch. The weekend was filled with laughter, adventure, and a sense that this was just the beginning of something truly special. It didn’t take long after that for them to make their relationship official, and their connection only deepened from there. Of course, like any relationship, they encountered their share of bumps along the way as they navigated their cultural differences and unique personalities. However, through it all, their love and faith in each other only grew stronger. They learned, grew, and leaned on God’s guidance to keep their love centered and grounded. Each day, they chose one another—intentionally, wholeheartedly, and with a deep commitment to building a future together. As they approach their wedding day, Frederick and Domonique are incredibly thankful for how God brought them together and feel incredibly blessed to have each other. They are excited not only for the journey they’ve already had but for the one ahead, knowing that the foundation of their relationship is built on love, faith, and choosing one another every single day. They are eager to continue growing together, hand in hand, through every season of life!
