Ours is a modern love story. Both of us were looking to meet someone special, but with one of us living in Brunswick and the other on St. Simons Island we had to cast a wider net and enlist the help of Bumble. Both of us saw something in each other and decided to swipe right. Our first time meeting was one that we didn't want to end, with conversation lasting well into the evening before time for us to return to our homes. With each passing date, the conversations grew longer and the attraction grew deeper. We wanted to be sure that our relationship had the right foundation and spent the first 3 months knowing each other staying friends, by accidentally friend zoning each other. Finally, in the parking lot of Cinco de Mayo after a dinner date that we didn't want to end, we shared our first kiss and decided it was time to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend. We've been through a lot since our first meeting in late 2018, we made it through a pandemic to move into our first home together in October 2020 and have now shared 2 homes together. We have supported each other through losses and surgeries, and have encouraged each other to go after new endeavors. Then one evening in early August, after months of waiting for the perfect opportunity to pop the question, Toby couldn't think of a more perfect place to ask Taylor to marry him than in the very home that they have started to build their lives together.
